H&M Fashion Against AIDS Collection

H&M is set to launch the fifth Fashion Against AIDS (FAA) collection to raise funds and create youth awareness about HIV and AIDS. It's such a great cause, and as usual, 25% of all sales will go directly to a variety of international youth HIV and AIDS awareness projects, including Designers Against Aids, MTV's Staying Alive Foundation, United Nations Population Fund, and YouthAids.

This year's summer-ready collection for girls and guys brings together ethnic influences from different continents: Colorful African trims on blouses and bustiers, graphic black and white Maori prints on leggings and crop-tops, and folkloric Inuit designs from Greenland on draped T-shirts. The collection also includes fashion accessories such as hats, footwear and jewelry, as well as special pieces such as iPhone cases.

H&M's Fashion Against AIDS collection be will available in around 300 stores on April 26th 2012. Stay tuned, I'll be hosting an exclusive giveaway so you can get your hands on some of the goods before everyone else!

What's more, H&M has launched a micro-site in conjunction with the Fashion Against AIDS collection titled "Make Out for a Good Cause." For each uploaded picture on the micro-site, H&M will donate $1 to HIV/AIDS awareness projects.

If you'd like an "early bird" VIP-invite to the pre-launch site, hit me up in the comments and I'll send the first 20 people who comment an exclusive access code (must be 16 or older).

Browse the collection after the jump, so much color! Love the dip-dye maxi dress.

ZARA Spring 2012 Lookbook

In addition to the Spring 2012 Catalog, Zara also produces a Lookbook which highlights key fashion trends for the season. Zara takes its cues straight from the runways: Pastel separates reference 3.1 Phillip Lim while futuristic florals feel plucked from Prabal Gurung. The big difference here is price, as most of Zara's amazing appararel, handbags and shoes are priced under $100 (and they have great sales). If there's one takeaway for me it's that bead embellished collar, seems like an easy DIY that would make a big impact. Let me know what you think of the lookbook in the comments!

Alberta Ferretti for Macy's Impulse Lookbook and Launch Party

Earlier this week, Macy's hosted a launch party to celebrate their exclusive collaboration with Italian designer Alberta Ferretti. I wasn't able to make it into the city for the event, but Macy's shared these images with me. Doesn't it look dreamy?! Models in the garden-party chic attire were surrounded by spring blossoms and caged birds, conjuring the breezy, laid-back landscapes of Ferretti's home. I'm especially drawn to the bold hued dresses and abstract floral prints. The macramé and lace detailing also looks alluring for summer. Priced on average from $49 – $119, the Alberta Ferretti for Impulse collection will be available in approximately 185 Macy's stores and on macys.com beginning April 17.

H&M Conscious Collection Spring 2012

In addition to the Exclusive Glamour Conscious collection, H&M Conscious collections also offer everyday fashions for women, men and kids - all part of H&M's ongoing initiative to increase the use of organic cotton and other more sustainable materials.

For women, highlights this spring include organic cotton tunics, smock tops and sundresses in pastels and checks. For gents, you'll see preppy crew-neck tees in pale pink, gray, blue and white paired with tailored shorts. Kids can be stylish in striped T-shirts and khaki chinos, as well as summery pieces such as floral smocked dresses and print tops. Look out for these styles in H&M stores, as we won't be able to shop hm.com until September (at least that's the tentative plan!)

I'm always impressed with H&M's Conscious collection when I see it in stores, the cotton feels so right for summer and all the bright whites make me feel like elevating my wardrobe to resort status. Not that I do, but I dream! Love the floral dress in the photo above. I might give printed shorts a go, too.

Have you shopped H&M's Conscious collections? What do you think?

White by Vera Wang Spring 2012 Bridal Lookbook

Get your pinning fingers ready: Here are the new wedding gown styles from the White by Vera Wang Spring 2012 Collection. The collection takes inspiration from the delicate form of flowers and their feminine appeal, and includes strapless gowns in taffeta and gazaar with asymmetrically draped bodices in soft hues of white, ivory and blush. The collection also includes contemporary looks styled with clean, simple details in updated mermaid and A-line silhouettes and sweetheart, strapless and asymmetrical necklines.

It's hard to pick a favorite, and you really have to try these on to see which looks best on your body (speaking from experience, hehe) but I really love the blush pink ballgown above and the strapless gown with the big grosgain bow (below). So romantic.

As some of you may know, I wore White by Vera Wang for my September wedding and I couldn't have been happier with my decision. It was truly the perfect dress for the best day of my life. I know I've been promising to share wedding photos forever now (still haven't picked my wedding album photos lol) but you may click on over to my photographer's blog Roya Jade (she's amazing) to see a few highlights.

White by Vera Wang's Spring 2012 wedding gowns are priced between $500 - $1,500. To view the entire collection, including shoes, veils, sashes, bridesmaid dresses and accessories, visit www.WhitebyVeraWang.com
