Off the Rack: The Webster at Target Women's Apparel

Webster at Target

I finally got around to checking out The Shops at Target in person and boy, was I impressed! The Webster at Target has some seriously cute offerings inspired by the Miami-based boutique. I had the chance to see them at a press preview months ago but it's different seeing them at an actual store, and I was pleasantly surprised by how full the racks were and by the wide selection of items.

The white eyelet dress and colorful navy and coral print shift (shown below) were two of my favorite pieces (you can't tell from the photo but they looked really nice in person). I could see either of these dresses working for a ton of spring/summer events, from graduations to bridal showers.

The breezy cotton tops had lovely embroidered detailing (close-ups after the jump) that rival tops at other stores that cost two or three times as much. I also loved the navy blazer, navy eyelet skirt, maxi dresses and geometric print wrap dress (which was unfortunately polyester - great for traveling since it won't wrinkle but awful for hot weather).

I didn't buy anything on this trip because I was too busy taking photographs, ran out of time and had to jet. But I'll be back to scoop up a thing or two.

Have you seen and/or shopped The Webster at Target? P.S. I was equally impressed with the accessories; I'll share those photos in a separate post.

Macy's Presents Brasil: A Magical Journey

Starting today, Macy's is taking shoppers on a magical journey to Brasil with a plethora of Brazilian-themed collections, in-store shops, events, giveaways and even a smartphone app. On the fashion front, Macy's is showcasing Brazilian designers with such collections as Francisco Costa for Calvin Klein, a dress capsule that's part of the Macy's Impulse program. Other limited-edition Brasil collections include handbags, shoes, jewelry and scarves by Carlos Falchi, apparel and accessories from Rachel Roy and Brazilian musician Seu Jorge, and eye-catching fashions from the design duo Neon. But that's not all: There are also inspired-by-Brazil products from all your favorite Macy's brands like Bar III, Essie and Havaianas, plus products for the home. And to top it all off, there's a charitable twist which lets shoppers donate money to help save the rainforests. Phew! If my memory serves me, this is the first time a major retailer has done a "collab" with a country. The in-store boutique idea isn't new but it seems to be growing (Target and JCP come to mind).

With so much to see and shop, just head on over to macys.com/brasil for all the details. Who's excited for this?

Anna Dello Russo for H&M Collection

{click image to enlarge}

Anna Dello Russo has teamed with H&M to create a special collection of "over-the-top" accessories. In the just-released video below, the fashion director of Japanese Vogue, who has previously collaborated with Macy's, talks about the inspiration behind her H&M collection and gives viewers a peek inside her private home.

Anna Dello Russo's H&M collection will be available on October 4, 2012, in around 140 stores worldwide and online. The collection features jewelry, sunglasses, shoes, bags and a trolley.

The more I learn about Anna Dello Russo, the more I love her (along with countless fashion enthusiasts). She's intelligent, imaginative, and genuinely enamored with fashion. I hope H&M launches online shopping for the US before this line arrives so I can scoop up a piece or two. Are you excited for this?
