Among this spring's hottest shoe trends is the ghillie, which is "a shoe without a tongue and with decorative lacing up the instep." Thank you, thefreedictionary.com! Keep reading for 10 ghillie-friendly shoes under $150. Which pair would you wear?
Love this trend. I'd totally wear the Dolce Vitas. Pour La Victoire has a yellow pair out that I'm totally crushing on (and praying they go on sale via shopstyle!)
I like the Chinese Laundry ones! I think this style is very sexy, so it looks best when you just give into the sexy vibe and have a stiletto heel, versus trying to be a flat or a wedge.

So literally after I read and commented on this, I went to get ready and couldn't decide what shoes to wear. So I grabbed a pair I haven't worn in about a year and was like oh wow, these don't have a tongue this is just like BB's post! I got them a year or so ago from Plato's closet they are Isaac Mizrahi for Target and never really noticed what was so different about them..they don't have a tongue. LOL

XO, http://thefrugalistadiaries.blogspot.com/
On topic :o)-- I don't know if I like laces or loops sticking out of a high heel. They always look a little sloppy on me. (Maybe I just tie weird?)
