Last Thursday I was invited to preview the Ann Taylor Fall 2010 Collection at an event held in the lobby of the Ace Hotel in New York City, a location which proved to be the perfect backdrop for the clothes which mixed "European sophistication with timeless American style." The palette of mostly dark, neutral solids was punctuated with the occasional chic leopard print, brushstroke print or crisp white blouse. Everything had a luxe, ladylike feel, revealed in elegant satin, chunky knits, dramatic collared coats, tailored blazers, pencil skirts and fitted sheaths.

WOW! I love, love, love everything. I've always "kinda" loved ATL, but this new rebirth of sorts they're going through is just fantastic. It's very J.Crew-ish, but much more affordable. Love it!

I love the designs for Fall 2010! Question I have though is will it look as fantastic on the average female?

Love, love, love everything. But sadly they don't ship to New Zealand so will have to stick to Shopbop and Forever 21 for my fix. Does anyone know of shops with a similar style to Ann Taylor that ships to NZ?

Love everything - glad to see the color palette is still neutral with some feminine pastels which means no total rehaul of my closet - it is very J. Crew but more tailored. I cannot wait to see the black tee with the colored ribbons (2nd from the last)! The colors make me want to skip over the awful brights (turquoise and coral) that I know are coming up for summer!

I always thought of Ann Taylor as being for "older ladies" but these pieces are sophisticated and still a bit fun! Or.. I'm just getting older, eep!
