Off the Rack: TJ Maxx and Marshalls September Finds

Just before the Fashion Week madness struck, I paid a quick visit to both my nearest TJ Maxx and Marshalls stores to check out their summer clearance shoes and see what was new for fall. Here are some highlights: The Cube at Marshalls has all the edgy teen must-haves that grown ups can wear on the weekends, too, like cargos, distressed jeans, tons of plaid shirts and chambray ones, too. Most items are priced under $30. I'm addicted to ruffle tops, tees, tanks, cardigans, you name it, so I wanted to see if Marshalls had this current trend in-stock, and they definitely did! My favorite piece was a black ruffle front tank by MICHAEL Michael Kors, priced under $30 - why pay more at a department store, right? At TJ Maxx, I was pleased to find a couple pairs of shoes from DV by Dolce Vita as well as Kelsi Dagger - two cool brands that are very on-trend at the moment, nice to see current styles at a substantial discount. Finally, my TJ Maxx had a ton of new handbags, including some designer names like Cynthia Rowley, Hype, Lucky Brand and B. Makowsky. Yes, you have to dig, but if you know what to look for, there are some serious savings to be had.

More photos after the jump!

Shown above: BCBGeneration swoopback pumps, $39.99 (compare at $75). Lauren Conrad wore a similar pair here.

Chambray and denim shirts under $20

Big brown leather bag with stud detailed by Cynthia Rowley, $139.99 (compare at $240). This bag looked luxe in person and felt great to carry.

Here's another bag that looked really expensive in person, $139.99 (compare at $230) by Hype.

Here's those Valentino knock-offs by Paris Hilton, definitely do not pay full price for these!

I just bought the BCBG pumps at my Marshall's. The guy checking me out told me they still have them in some BCBG stores. So I think it was an excellent purchase.

Wish my Marshall's had such a great bag selection tho!

I just bought the BCBG pumps yesterday after shelling out $70 for Steve Madden ones. I think the swoop makes them much cuter so I def returned the SM, saved some money and can't wait to wear them.

I used to sleep on TJ Maxx and Marshall's but they have some amazing finds.

I've had those BCBG pumps since the spring and also bought them at Marshall's. They are beautiful but definitely not the most comfy (similar to all BCBG pumps). FYI-they also come in black.

That big brown bag looks like a Sasha bag to me. Ooh and I love the Betsey Johnson shoes because they're pink.

Ok so I went and found the shoes at TJ Maxx, but the black and the tan was in size 8, 81/2. Ugh, I wear a 7. But I found these cute Dollhouse bootshttp://www.endless.com/dp/B002FZLCRI/ref=asc_df_B002FZLCRI1260162?tag=googlecom09c9_endless-20&creative=395021&linkCode=asn&creativeASIN=B002FZLCRI for just $25, I'm going for the military look this fall haha! I passed on these Sam Edelman clogs http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/3089329?cm_cat=datafeed&cm_pla=shoes:women:clog&cm_ite=sam_edelman_'faye'_clog:294388&cm_ven=Froogle&mr:trackingCode=2A0F71AA-2C6F-DF11-9DA0-002219319097&mr:referralID=NA for 39.99 but I need to go back and get them. They are the most comfortable shoe I've ever put on my feet, and the only clog I've seen that I actually like.

I picked up those DV by Dolce Vita zipper boots on sale - they're MUCH cuter in person and the leather is so supple.

I also picked up a pair of Giuseppe Zanotti satin jeweled pumps on a KILLER sale ($50! For GIUSEPPES!).

I love marshalls and tjmaxx. Just wish they would stock more colorful shoes in my city. But I still love to shop at both of those stores!

I just bought a pair of black suede Steve Madden knee-high boots for $60 at my TJ. I freaking love that place. There's a lot of junk there, but you can find some really good steals there if you're looking.

AHHH!! I bought those shoes and I LOVE them, I've been trying to find the name of them EVERYWHERE so I can order more online, since they're out in my size in the stores! Does anyone know the name of them, other than that they're BCBGeneration?? I really want to order them...
THANK YOU!
