Karl Lagerfeld for Macy's 'Impulse' Collection: Full Look

Macy's has shared photos of Karl Lagerfeld's 45-piece limited-edition collection, which hits 235 stores and macys.com on August 31. It's very Karl (in case the tee shirts with his picture on them didn't give it away) - mostly black, gray and white with a few floral prints and touches of pink. My favorite piece is the romantic blush dress shown above ($119) but that could just be the mood I'm in since my wedding is coming up in September (rehearsal dinner possibly?). Fashionistas will adore the affordable leather shorts and pants, the feminine houndstooth coat, and dramatic high collars. Priced from $50 to $170, the Karl Lagerfeld for Impulse collection is a chic and budget-friendly addition to Macy's fall offerings.

My contact at Macy's tells me the "leather-look" items are made from high-quality man-made materials (not genuine leather).

Love the high collars - not sure about the minis. But the other dresses look great for work or evening.

I wish the prices were a bit closer to H&M - but Macys has such good sales.

Loving the leather pants, though I'm not sure I have the nerve (or the figure) to pull them off.

Love the clothes... but the models are sooo skinny. They look sickly. It would be refreshing to see models have a healthy weight.

Hmmm....if I had to guess, I would say that a few key pieces like the brown pleather jacket and the long coat will sell out, while things like the Karl tees will end up on the clearance racks. If you love something, buy it and return it if you change your mind.
