alice + olivia for Payless Spring 08

We find ourselves befuddled by the Spring 08 alice + olivia collection for Payless. Is it awful? Or is it cute in a fugly sort of way? Let's see: The bold and colorful polka-dot ballet flats give off a goofy, circus vibe, while the sneakers have us questioning whether this is a kid's collection, and not a women's line (it's probably targeted towards teens). On the other hand: A stand-out, neon wedge makes our heart skip a beat with it's cheeky drama. The verdict: We're taking a middle of the road position on this one...it's not a nay or a yea, but an "ay." Check out the pics and tell us what you think.

Fierce or Tranny: alice + olivia for Payless Boot
We really want to like the alice + olivia for Payless collection, we really do, but so far this designer collaboration has had far more "misses" than "hits." Remember the goofy looking polka-dotted clown flats back in Spring '08? I rest my case. And so

I don't like them. With the exception of the black wedge slingback. Everything else is gaudy and pimpish.

I definitely would wear those ones, too! But that's about it. The polka dot flats remind me of clowns for some reason.

Gaudy! I love polka dots, and these are TOO MUCH.
The neon wedges are too much, too bright, too tall, just too many things that are bad put together.
And the sneakers...not very special. Just teen-trendy shoes.
