After battling a cold all of last week (during a heatwave, ugh), I took the opportunity to "dress up" this weekend at the first signs of feeling better. For me that meant swapping out my flat sandals for some heels and adding a white blazer to the t-shirt and shorts looks that I've been wearing just about every day. The finishing touch was my Lands' End Canvas fedora - something about wearing a hat just makes me feel fun and carefree, and isn't that what summer's all about? Quick note: If you have trouble finding a hat that fits, you'll love this hat - it comes in two sizes, SM and LXL - I got the LXL which fits my big head perfectly. And it's just $23.99 (down from $40). More pics and ramblings after the jump...

I'm also loving the ikat print shorts I picked up from Old Navy a couple weeks ago - the pattern and cut makes these flattering for those of us who might not normally wear shorter shorts, if that makes sense. They are super comfortable cotton and easy to wear.
I might as well mention that I love my LC Lauren Conrad for Kohl's platform pumps, too. Yes, they are comfortable for heels this high. There's lots of room for your toes and the platform means your arch won't start aching after 5 minutes. The silhouette on these is really sexy. Highly recommend. And the blush pink hue acts as a nude heel against my pale skin (enhanced as it were by Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs - LOVE this stuff. You can read my review here.)
So those are just a few random things I've loving right now. But more importantly, you should head to Lands' End Canvas and check out their summer sale. Plus, take an extra 25% off everything in your cart and get free shipping (I think on any order) with promo name CHEERS and pin 3022. Sale ends tomorrow.
