9 Décor Items for Fall You Need (And Can Totally Afford)

Fall Decor Finds

In this weekly column, I'm sharing decorating tips on a budget. This week, we're prepping our homes for fall! Check out my blog A Vintage Splendor for more ideas.

Labor Day is the unofficial end to summer - Halloween décor line up the aisles and spiced lattes fill our mugs. We crave that same warm and cozy feeling at home, but redecorating isn’t always possible or economical. I actually prefer brining in small elements that are reminiscent of the season rather than an overhaul.
Decorating for fall doesn’t have to mean orange and brown pumpkins and burlap galore. Rich textures like wool and velvet in deep jewel tones are great transitional pieces to take you from summer brights to fall harvest. If you prefer a bold statement, then opt for curtains in an ikat print in teal and gold tones or these chairs in emerald that can anchor your dining table.

If you prefer simplicity of the season and decor, then this velvet pillow and tassel throw will add in rich and luxurious touches to your living room.

For the modernist, add these metal bud vases throughout your house, or add a touch of masculinity with this rope table lamp. A must-have for every home decorating for Fall is the sweet smell of sugared cinnamon – if that doesn’t bring the warmth of Fall then nothing else will!
