Altuzarra for Target Launched Today: Let's Talk About What We Bought

Altuzarra for Target Is Here: What I Bought

The highly-anticipated Altuzarra for Target collection has launched at Target stores, TARGET.COM and NET-A-PORTER.COM. I didn't stay up last night to shop but I logged on a few minutes ago (around 7:50 am EST) and was able to purchase two of the three items I wanted: The sumptuous red wrap-effect satin-jersey dress ($39.99), which I fell in love with after seeing how well it looked on Naomi Watts at the launch party, and the embroidered cotton-blend twill dress ($49.99), which is a fresh update on the LBD and features the collection's signature heron motif. I plan on wearing these to an upcoming semi-casual fall wedding lunch and dinner. I placed my orders from Net-a-Porter rather than Target.com because while both sites offer free shipping and returns, Net-a-porter offers fancy packaging. And it just feels more luxe. There, I said it.
Unfortunately the croc-effect faux leather waist belt ($29.99) in both black and brown was sold out everywhere online - maybe I'll have some luck at my local store when I take a trip later today. While this collection hasn't generated quite the same shopping frenzy as some past collabs, I think we can all agree it's nice to shop on our own timeline without worrying everything will be sold out. The absence of handbags from this collection is at least party to blame, er, thank.

Did you stay up to shop #AltuzarraForTarget? What did you get or what do you plan on getting?

I ordered on Target & got the lace-up boots and the snake-print sweater (ordered two sizes in each because I wasn't sure!). I was shocked to see that when I got up this morning nothing was sold out completely yet!!

I jumped out of bed at 6:30 and started placing my order about 5 minutes later. I bought the purple wrap dress, orchid sweatshirt, burgundy peasant shirt, and the dot bow blouse. There were a few things sold out at that time. I wanted to buy the olive green trench but was sold out on both Target, Net-a-porter and not available in store.

I bought the Python print dress, the blue button down and the black jaquard print skirt in the store. I wanted the maxi dress but it was too long for my 5'3" body and it has a liner attached at the seams that will make it difficult to hem. Once I knew how the collection fit (on the small size), I went online and ordered the Green snake sweatshirt, Python skirt and the ankle strap shoes in black and brown. I am happy with everything I got!

Love reading what everyone bought. You made a killing! And you really did your homework. You'll have to let me know how everything works out.

I checked Target/NaP before midnight (CST), at midnight and a little after midnight. Nothing. I woke up at 3am and saw that the collection was available. I snatched up the red wrap dress, the orchid maxi gown, and the heron sweater on NaP. I wanted the belt, but it was already sold out. I can't wait to get them!

I set my alarm and then slept through it! Woke up around 1:30 am and got the green python skirt. I wanted the belt, too, but it was gone already. I'm thinking the skirt can be 3 season, maybe even 4!

I placed an order last night right after it went online and got the orchid print button up, the black and white bow blouse, and the white and blue striped shift dress. Went to my store today and got the striped button up and the burgundy peasant blouse.

If you're interested, I reviewed the gold crane dress and the red wrap dress on my blog. Here's the link. I also reviewed some Altuzarra for Target tops and bottoms in this post. The gold crane dress is my second favorite piece from this collection!

I was up at 3:30a to shop the collection. I wish I would have purchased more considering most everything is sold out, now!!

I lucked out with the faux fur jacket and the orchid print sweatshirt. Can't wait to see them in person.

I should have been smart and just ordered online. The store opened at 8 a.m. I got there at 8:03 and my size was already gone in the red wrap dress along with my size in the trench coat as well. The belts had all been snatched up too. There wasn't a really good selection at the store. You can check out the rest of my experience here: http://www.primadonna-style.com/2014/09/at-store-altuzarra-for-target.html

I was late to the party and didn't get me order in until Sunday evening and managed to get 2 of the 4 items on my list: the tan python pencil skirt from NaP and ruby peasant dress from Target.com. I really wanted the python blazer and black belt as well, but alas, both these were sold out on NaP and Target. Here's hoping for some returns at one of my local Targets!
