Ashley's Picks: Wedding Guest Dresses Under $100

Ashley's Picks Wedding Guest Dresses
To me, a wedding means dressing up, spinning around the dance floor and celebrating the love between two people. It also means searching for the perfect guest dress - one that doesn't stray from typical 'wedding attire etiquette', can be worn more than a few times, and doesn't break the bank. I found amazing picks under $100 from Boohoo, Rent the Runway and River Island that I am obsessed with; hopefully you'll love them as well. Make sure to check out Lauren's Picks, Dianna's Picks and Sophia's Picks for more wedding inspo, with all of our different personal styles I'm positive you'll find at least one you're in love with!

Blue Embellished Maxi - River Island
Blue Embellished Maxi Dress ( $84, riverisland.com)

When I think of summer weddings, I first think of the more casual weddings back home in the midwest. Think lots of maxi dresses and sundresses. This dress by River Island, however, takes the casual maxi dress and kicks it up a notch with an embellished neckline, tie waist and keyhole detail. The keyhole detail and neckline are especially flattering for women with daintier shoulders since it creates the illusion that you're broader on top. Plus, I'm obsessed with this rich royal blue color, it compliments my red hair and doesn't wash out my pale complexion.

Halston Halter Dress
Halston Heritage Lilac Crossed Dress ( $75 rental, renttherunway.com)

Rent the Runway has to be my latest obsession and I was thrilled when I found this gem — I'm even renting it for a friend's wedding in August. The color is pure perfection, the cutouts are flirty, but not too sexy, and the high neckline is my favorite style. The midi length is also, in my opinion, a great length for a wedding since you don't want to go too short with your hemline. The hem is even hi-lo which adds a touch of playfulness to the look.

Stylestalker Visions Skater Dress ( $60 rental, renttherunway.com)

I know what you thought when you first saw the dress – that plunge is waaay to deep – but, when it's on the model it isn't as extreme. If you haven't noticed I kind of have a palette I'm loving for this summer, deep blue, light pink/purple, light blue. It's semi-inspired by Pantone's colors of the year, rose-quartz and serenity. (The other inspiration? It looks great against my skin and hair.) This dress is ideal for dancing the night away and while it is short, I don't think it's too short since it grazes her mid thigh. This option is flirty and fun, and if you're not sold on it, check out the review photos on Rent the Runway to see the dress on different body types and at various events.

Light Blue Lace Dress
Denise Corded Lace Layered Dress ( $35, boohoo.com)

Did someone say garden wedding? This dress best fits in that category. Light color, feminine and dainty lace, and a lightweight fabric that loosely fits and just grazes your calves. The silhouette is more conservative featuring a higher, square neckline, layered fabrics and a midi-length. Making it an option for a church wedding followed by a more casual, or outdoor reception. Also available in black, this dress can be a closet staple as well perfect for wearing to bridal or baby showers, luncheons and so much more. $30 has never been stretched so far!
