Fierce or Tranny: Cracked Leather Gold Heels

The line between what's hot and what's a hot mess can often be hazy what with all the tempting trends out there. I've made one too many fashion blunders because of this, and so I've decided to do a new installment here on The Babe that allows you, the reader, to help me make that distinction: Fierce or tranny?

Let's start with these super sexy Jimmy Choo "Elipse" cracked-gold leather sandals (at left). My vote: Undeniably fierce. The price ($695), not so much, which led me to search for a budget-friendly version (at right): The "Diem" platform sandal from Bakers. It's got the cracked gold leather look, the tall stiletto heel and the slight platform - but does the "Diem" hold the same allure as the Jimmy Choos...or does it scream dancer at The Baton?

Give it to me straight, ladies: Are these shoes fierce or tranny? (Please note that I use the word lovingly. But it's not the look I'm going for.)

the jimmy choo slingback is fierce. but, the alternative you found is more tranny. just find an alternative w/ a t-strap or slingback style. that would be prettty.

I agree with chelle g. I love the jimmy choo, but the bakers shoe is just not cutting it. I think it may be the color of the gold--it's just too bright.

Personally I think it's the particular shade of gold that they used for the Baker's version that's making it look a lot less classy than the stunning Jimmy Choos or maybe it's just the lighting in the photos that makes the color look different?

The Bakers shoes are def. tranny. The lighter shade of gold on the Jimmy Choo's is what makes them so fierce in my book. I feel like the brighter the shade of gold, the more tranny they get. And the gold on this Bakers version is too bright.

Wow those Jimmy Choo's are talking to me. The Baker shoes do not compare. They look kinda clumsy. Not a good alternative. Tranny for sure.

Theyre both tranny, that kind of gold should have stayed in the 70s under the disco ball.

Tranny. The Jimmy Choos are gorgeous, but the Bakers ones fail to imitate, in my opinion!
