5 Fall 2017 Fashion Trends to Try Now

This week I've starting pulling together some of the top fall fashion trends you'll want to try right now with wearable, affordable pieces starting at just $28!

But first, some newsworthy links from the week that was...

College Fashion takes a metallic skirt from day to night.

Corporette looks at readers' favorite colors for their work wardrobes.

Look for Anna Sui x INC at Macy's this September - should be fun!

Macy's teams with contemporary designer Kobi Halperin for luxe, hand-crafted collection, Kobi. This fur trim vest is definitely a conversation starter!

Macy's also recently introduced Avec Le Filles by Joyce Azria, a contemporary lifestyle brand featuring beautifully tailored, French-inspired separates, dresses and shoes. Some very interesting pieces like this denim anorak and this embroidered mesh hoodie.

The CR by Cynthia Rowley limited-edition summer collection is now on clearance at Macys.com. This cute jacket would be a good office transitional piece.

Final piece of Macy's news: I'm kinda bummed I never got the memo about designer Yigal Azrouel's limited-edition collection for Macy's called Yyigal. But this lace & faux leather moto jacket is still left and just $40 (down from $200)!!

New York & Company introduces a new collection with actress Gabrielle Union.

5 Fall 2017 Trends to Try Now

1. Velvet - I'm seeing velvet and its crushed counterpart on everything from dresses and t-shirts to bags and shoes.
2. Kimonos were a big summer layering piece and they'll be back for the cooler months in silky satins and rich gem hues.
3. Embroidery is everywhere as part of the big boho, nomadic, folkloric trend this fall. Try it on a pair of jeans or my favorite, ankle booties! Target has some good ones.
4. Red was all over the runways and it's going to be a big color for fall. Try it on a dress, top or bag. Flattering on everyone!
5. While I don't see the fashion mags talking about olive as much, I'm seeing it everywhere in the blogosphere for fall. Camo print is big too, as is utility dressing.

Which fall trend are you excited to try? Enjoy your weekend, lovelies! xxBB

The purse looks a lot like the Rebecca Minkoff bag that sold out during the NSale, too!

I need a weekend to recover from this weekend to be honest but it was a fun one. Hope your summer is winding down well, Heidi!
