Target Run: The Prettiest Spring Dresses (Bump-Friendly, Too!)

The cutest spring fashions at Target, from kimonos to babydoll dresses - and maternity styles too

I wanted to share some cute finds from Target that I spotted over the weekend in case you're looking for a Valentine's Day outfit. Or maybe you're expecting and want a cute dress for a photoshoot, baby shower, special occasion, or date night. Either way Target's got you covered with pieces under $30!

I normally walk right past the Xhilaration section because A) I'm old and B) the styles usually don't fit me anymore (boohoo), but on this trip I couldn't resist peeking at the pretty prints I spied from the center aisle. And I was pleasantly surprised by how many pieces worked for me!

Everything had a super romantic, boho vibe, from feminine dresses to lacy kimonos. Just right for spring. Many prints reminded me of stuff you'd see from popular designer labels like Spell & The Gypsy Collective, Anthropologie or Free People.

I easily slipped this babydoll dress (shown above, $27.99) over my bump in size medium and fell in love with the beautiful blush pink color and dreamy bell sleeves. You could wear this as a dress or tunic top. Just don't wear it like me with jeans and duck boots! Haha! Wear with ankle boots like this pair (so so good). You can wear before and after the bump which is great. Not really nursing-friendly but fine for that photoshoot or date night.

Next I tried on this crochet detail babydoll dress in size medium ($27.99) - LOVE. Pretty print, nice details, soft fabric, fits bump. You could even wear this with skinny jeans. Or over-the-knee boots.

Then I was all about the kimono dusters, like this flamenco-style fringe duster ($27.99, wearing size small). I don't know about you, but I feel amazing when I slip one of these on! You gotta try one! They may not be the most practical of styles but they make such a cool statement. I'd wear one to work if I still worked in a creative office, or out for drinks.

FYI, I'm wearing this long layering tunic tank (2 for $20 at Kohl's). Very happy with these, I got them in 3 colors at my store. Wearing size Medium. Haven't washed them yet but I think the small would have fit, too.

Couldn't find a link for this one but there are lots of similar options online.

Oh my gosh you guys this dress is so pretty. Save it for Easter! As one reader told me, yellow is trending big for spring from such designers as Michael Kors, making it even more lovable. (Tie front crepe dress, $24.99)

Forgot to take a pic, but behind the yellow dresses you'll see this sweet blue Xhilaration tie-front dobby dress ($24.99), which kinda reminds me of the retro dress Selena Gomez wore here. So pretty.

This mesh embroidered dress looked very nice for the price. Dolce & Gabbana vibes.

Here are a few more cute tops to give you a feel for the prints and colors that are trending...

These tops were on clearance for like $13! You could wear these to the office with a blazer but you could also pair with leather leggings like Lauren Conrad.

Phew! Okay, you still with me!? Made it to the maternity section! How sweet is this lace dress from the Isabel by Ingrid and Isabel line? Looks just like this $98 dress from their designer collection! Maybe I just get really excited when I see a maternity option that's actually cute. Had to try this one on...

Only had the medium in pink and it worked okay! Just $29.99! It's fully lined and has some nice stretch. You could still see my belly button poppin' out a bit but oh well. I'll have to wear my belly band underneath to hide it at this point.

Then I tried it on in black, size small. This fit better. I'd say go with your pre-pregnancy Misses size (similar to LOFT or the old Merona line).

This dress is so good. Wear it for a baby shower or wedding.

I also tried on this bell sleeve floral shift dress by Ingrid and Isabel ($29.99) in size small and really liked it. It's kinda shapeless but still flattering and so comfy. So stinkin cute.

If you want a little more definition, this dress is a good option. They didn't have my size in store. Gets good reviews, too.

If you made it to the end of this post, you deserve some sort of medal. What are you loving/buying at Target lately?
