While browsing Hautelook's "Home" sales today, I came across this set of 3 white floral magnets, which are selling for $28 (down from $54)...



...and I thought to myself, Well, well, well, these look identical to the magnets I just bought at Target the other day for only $5.99!



They're sold out online (of course) but you can find these in the seasonal home decor aisle at your Target store now, they should still be in stock. I'm trying to "clean up" all the stuff I stick to my fridge by using all-white magnets and these look so fresh and pretty for spring. Click the image above to view.

Here's a quick little DIY project I wanted to share because it's so easy and yet it makes a huge impact! I had been living with my jute rug from IKEA for a number of years and just got tired of the pea green ribbon border. I went with green during an earthy, natural tones decorating period, but my mood has shifted to graphic prints and lots of black and white lately - so I was ready for a change. At first I thought about buying a new rug, but I love the texture and functionality of my jute rug, and it was still in good shape. Then it dawned on me - why not just paint the border? And so I did! It only took a few hours on the weekend and cost next to nothing, about $6 worth of fabric paint from Jo-Ann's (I used mobile coupons which you can easily access from their free iPhone app).

If you follow me on Twitter or Instagram, you may have noticed that I recently hosted a bridal shower for my little sister. To make it extra special and add a personal touch, I wanted to try out a bunch of DIY projects so I created a Pinterest board to store all my favorite bridal shower ideas, and was especially inspired by this festive party theme as seen on Lauren Conrad's blog. I thought it would be fun to decorate the gift table with a framed photo of the bride and groom to be, as well as a phrase that would set the stage for the evening, which was "Shine bright like a diamond," a simple expression that my mom and I just loved and thought would beautifully encapsulate the mood for the evening.

Creating my DIY glitter sign was super easy, and you could easily adapt this project to any event or occasion. Or just make one to decorate your office or home! It can be any phrase, quote, motto or collection of words, in any colors or fonts.
