The Look for Less: Jamie Joseph Starfish Pendant

undefined

This delicate Jamie Joseph Starfish pendant with diamonds would make a stunning addition to one's "daily wear" jewelry collection, but with a cost of $2,720 at Ylang 23, it's not something that falls within most people's budgets. Jamie Joseph counts Naomi Watts, Kate Beckinsale and Cameron Diaz among her fans, and sells her lovely creations at fine stores such as Bergdorf Goodman in New York.

Martin + Osa at ShopStyle

Here's a great alternative that would make a spectacular Mother's Day gift, too! This Starfish Pendant Necklace designed by Catherine Weitzman captures the same whimsical spirit of the pricier necklace at a fraction of the cost. It's made of 18k gold-plated sterling silver, and can be yours for $89.50 from Martin + Osa.

Gorgeous! I am all about starfish these days - can't wait to hit up Target in two weeks and get my fill with Miss Trish of Capri!

BWT the gojane shoes, I personally find they run slightly larger. They don't really have a brand though...you think they do, but when you get the shoes they are usually "Classified" "Bamboo" "Wild Rose" or "Mystique" which are cheap shoe brands found in many stores. In fact, overstock.com was carrying "mystique sandals" for like $30, but in reality you can get the same thing at gojane for $10.

Anyway, returns are super easy too at gojane and it's so cheap anyway (I have a bit package coming my way :), but yeah in general I find it runs either true to size or slightly larger...hope that helps!!

PS the hair on my blog actaully wasn't hard to do. Well it was cuz I was looking in the mirror and that totally messes up your braiding. Oh and I did 6 attempts, but once I got it going for once, it was fine. I should do a tutorial post lol

Thanks for the info re: GoJane!

I would love to see a how-to on your chic 'do, perhaps a video tutorial? =)

Another option for this is Yummi Glass.
She makes a great starfish pendant.

I'm running a special on her Poppy today on The Recessionista that y'all might want to check out.

The starfish necklaces is a cute option for summer! I like the cheaper version, but I like the pricy one even better lol. It's hard to find a good sub in for diamonds ;-)

Cute necklace. I found another version of the Jamie Joseph one at Ped Shoes (http://www.pedshoe.com) that's a little more reasonable ($330) and extremely pretty. It's silver and has a single gold-set diamond at the center. I prefer it because it's simpler. Anyway, you can see it here:
