The Look for Less: BB Dakota "Rosanna" Top

BB Dakota at ShopStyle

Here's a great plaid shirt by BB Dakota with flattering 3/4-length sleeves and a nipped waist in a soothing forest green hue, just $44 at chickdowntown.com. You can wear it now layered over a tank with shorts, then again in the fall with jeans and boots.

Miley Cyrus & Max Azria for Walmart affordable clothing line

Need another option? This buffalo plaid shirt is one of the cuter items I spotted in the newly released Miley Cyrus & Max Azria clothing line for Walmart. Keep in mind the sizing is juniors, but I think this top would work for many ages. It's just $12 and also comes in red plaid or purple plaid. Check out the rest of the collection here, especially if you're in back-to-school shopping mode.

I checked out the collection at Walmart when I saw that shirt...

IT IS NOT THE SAME AS THE PICTURE! It's very tacky and cheap looking in person. The whole shirt is crinkled with elastic on the bottom and a tie on the bottom. It's quite tacky.

Huh. That sucks. What about the rest of the collection, any redeeming qualities?

I got the black leggings, and for six dollars, I was really surprised. They aren't bad quality and they don't look cheap.

Yeah it's a bummer. I was excited too, because there is a version of that shirt at UrbanOutfitters in 3 colors for $19.99 online, and in more colors for $39.99 (I think?) in store...

As far as this line goes, there isn't much great about it. Whereas Target has a designer look and semi-designer quality, the line still looks as if it came from Walmart. However, the leggings could be nice.

And the grunge look soldiers on! I think we can expect to see loads of these for Autumn, along with the rebirth of the denim shirt. Could be cute

I have a shirt almost identical like that from Wet Seal in pink and black. I love it. I got it for $15 and I think they are even cheaper now.

For those of us in Plus-Sized there is a similiar shirt at target in green and purple plaid.

Yeah, it's amazing that Miley calls herself a designer, when in fact that shirt has been done SOOOO many times and you know the quality is cheap when being sold at Wal-Mart.....Come on, really...Let's give those who ARE talented designers yet to be discovered, a break!!
