hate to say it (Fifi doesn't like to dis fellow French-folk), but the knockoffs look better! they are trends, folks. is there really any justification for spending $900 on a pair of shoes? if you have any doubts, think of donating the difference to a worthwhile charity. you could probably make some peoples lives a lot better with $800, right?
Bravo, Budget Babe, for once again letting us be cutting edge without breaking the bank. And for those with more money than sense, get the cheapies, and donate the rest to a worthy cause. If you're still not convinced, think of the tax break you can get. Want more reason? If you work for a big corporation, you can double your donation if your company has a matching gift program. Win-Win: you get the style, the charity gets double your donation. Feels good, don't it?

Fifi, we hear you loud and clear! :-)

Here's the latest news on the Knockoff Wars from the Washington Post: The end may be near for easy access to cheap, unauthorized knockoffs of designer clothes as Capitol Hill has taken up the cause of fashion with the Design Piracy Prohibition Act, which was introduced in the U.S. Senate last week and would give copyright protection to designers' work. (A similar bill has also been proposed in the House.)

Check out Nine West - They have a fabulous CL knock-off pump, with the red sole. they also have it in metallic and cork. they have a lot of new styles that are suspiciously what i saw in Vogue!

We read somewhere that CL is trying to patent his red sole...isn't that absolutely absurd? We'd like to know what readers think...
