Off the Rack: Boyfriend Watches at Target

Where to buy a cheap, stylish boyfriend watch

Target has a new batch of amazing boyfriend watches by Merona for just $14.99. Think of them as beautiful bracelets that just happen to tell time. Layer them on with other arm candy for an off-the-moment look that's chic but not too fussy. Friends will think the flea market gods smiled upon you and envy your "vintage" find, but only you will know your little secret. I couldn't decide between the gold number (above) and its silver counterpart (below) so I think I'll just have to go back and get both. Look for these watches at a Target store near you (I couldn't find them online).

UPDATE:
I bought the Gold and I adore it. Still ticking as of May, 2011!

I LOVED the Michael Kors watch featured on Cupcakes & Cashmere a while back, but haven't wanted to pony up the cash since I know it'd be more of a occasional statement piece for me... after seeing this post this morning, I RAN to Target and picked up the gold one. Absolutely love it. Just need to have a few links taken out, because right now it's a bit too "boyfriend" big!

I love the watch just got it today. I still haven't figured out how to set the date, if anyone knows how to that would be a big help.

Unfortunately, I don't think the date can be set. I picked up the same watch and the smaller faces within the main watch face seem to be static.

The first watch you've featured is truly fabulous! I love that retailers are starting to make more finish options available ... I've always been a gold girl, and I remember (not too long ago) when you couldn't find it anywhere!

I have been looking for a watch like this for some time. I love black and gold together, I think I'm sold on the black and gold one.

Take it to your local WalMart. They will take the links out for no charge. I have the first one and they had to take about 3 links out for me. Hope that helps!

I know this question was posted on here a few months back, but does anyone know if it's possible to change the date faces?? I don't think my watch came with a set of instructions/info other then the warranty!! Thanks a bunch:)

I bought the gold one and had to return it. You can't change the date on the watch. I tried going backwards, didn't work. I tried pulling the knob out half way, didn't work. I wish you could change it. =(
The watch also didn't come with instructions. o_0

You can change the date on some of the watches. I have the one that has the rotating sun/moon/stars plate behind the hands and a date window. I had to take alot of time and turn forward (back does not work) until I got to the date desired. It can take 2-20 rotations per day change, so if you're near a month off, it could take alot of patience. I wish I knew what it was that caught the dial to make it turn, but all I can guess is a little patience and alot of turning.
