Spring Fashions at H&M

Spring 2009 Fashions at H&M

Spring collections have been steadily rolling out at all our favorites stores over the past couple weeks, and H&M is no exception. Since this fast-fashion giant doesn't have an online store, it's often neglected by this blog (sniff sniff), so I snapped some pics of the latest offerings to give you a taste of what I'm seeing here on the East Coast. A few key trends include the color coral, light denim, colorful florals, breezy chiffon blouses, khaki pants, flirty dresses and lacy corsets. I am so ready to shed my dark winter wardrobe and start shopping towards a brighter fashion future! How about you?

Vivienne Tam Fall 2009 Collection

As promised, here are photos I took at last night's Vivienne Tam Fall 2009 Collection Presentation, part of Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week. My favorite part of the collection had to be the colors—rich reds and purples rendered in luminous satin and light-as-air chiffon—as well as the delicate, three-dimensional floral details on some of the dresses that had a handmade, artistic quality to them that I just love. It's not exactly budget but it's definitely inspiring! Keep reading to see all the pics.

Fashion designer Vivienne Tam hearts bloggers: In what was perhaps the first move of its kind (or so I was told), Tam along with HP (the folks she teamed up with for the HP Mini Vivienne Tam Edition) invited a select group of fashion, beauty and tech bloggers to her Fall 2009 collection presentation. Thrilled, I trekked on over to the city earlier this evening for the event where I was able to see the looks and blog about the event in real time courtesy of HP, who had set up quite a few blogging stations outfitted with their fab touchscreen computers.
