Reader Request: Dr. Martens Look for Less

We The Free at ShopStyle

You may have noticed the return of Dr. Martens, a shoe that epitomized '90s grunge style. The particular pair of vintages Docs shown above is $128 at, and I can say with certainty they are worth the money if you love this look. I'm dating myself here, but yes, I owned a pair in high school and I adored them. I still regret giving them away (sniff, sniff).

Get the Dr. Martens look for less

If you want to give this trend a test drive before you splurge on the real deal, try these lace-up military style boots for $36 at (an amazing new site from the people who brought you!).

Alternatively, Forever 21 had some Doc Marten knockoffs a couple months ago, so keep checking their site/stores in case they restock.

Will you be revisiting the Dr. Marten trend (or trying them for the first time)?

Valentine's Day Gift Ideas: Men's Fragrance Sale at RowNine

Valentine's Day Gift Ideas: Men's Fragrance Sale at RowNine

Online sample sale site tends to carry reeeally pricey luxury items (think $15,000 watches), but today's sale is actually quite reasonable for a change! Just in time for Valentine's Day, RowNine is selling a nice assortment of men's fragrances, including popular scents from Burberry, Hugo Boss, Bulgari, Ralph Lauren, Versace and more. The one I picked up for my guy called simply Men by CLEAN is on sale for just $39. I did some comparison shopping online, and the exact same bottle of Clean is selling for $79 at Score. If your man cares about the way he smells (or you do!), this might be the right time to shop RowNine. Standard shipping is $7.

Site Spotlight: (And They Ship to Canada!)

Canadian-based online designer sale site offers members steep discounts on items such as jewelry, women's apparel and lingerie.

If you love online sample sale websites like Gilt, Rue La La, ideeli and Hautelook, here's another one to add to your list: It's a Canadian-based site called Enviius, and not only do they ship to Canada, they also feature a lot of Canadian designers, too. (Don't worry, they also ship to the U.S.!)

Enviius follows the standard online sample sale website formula. You have to be a member, but membership is free. Sales only last from 48 to 72 hours, and quantities are limited, so it's first come first serve. Look for savings up to 70% on apparel, accessories and more from names like La Fee Verte, Femm Boutique, XOXO, Nixxi and Dace (that's what I saw on their site at the time of posting).

Once you sign up, you can invite your friends to become members and receive a credit each time a new member you invited makes their first purchase.

I think the name is a little obnoxious, appealing to our basest instincts (who do they think we are, some kind of bargain hunting fiends?! Don't answer that…) But if the deals are good, I can live with it.

Does anyone have shopping experience with Enviius? Do tell!
