Off the Rack: Chinese Laundry Spring 2010 Styles

Off the Rack: Chinese Laundry Spring 2010 Styles

Last month I was invited to check out the latest Spring 2010 styles from Chinese Laundry as well as their sub brands, CL Wash, CL by Laundry, and Dirty Laundry, in NYC. Lots of fun new styles, plus repeat trends from last season which is always good because you can get more wear out of the shoes you already own! Casual styles include neon canvas sneaks, super cushy flip flops (they feel like Havaianas), embellished jellies and funky wellies. For nightlife, I was loving the black mesh heels and velvet platforms. For day to night, I saw bejeweled gladiator sandals and ruffled thongs, perfect for spring break or summer. I got also a sneak peek at next Fall's styles, which I can't show you, but I can tell you that buckles and studs are coming back, plus lots of ankle booties, moto- and Western-inspired boots. Most styles are under $100 and you can find all the details at ChineseLaundry.com. Keep reading for more shoes, glorious shoes!

Beauty Review: Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Pat On The Black

Beauty Review: Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Pat On The Black

Sometime during fashion week I was bitten by the black nail polish bug. I noticed it's always popular with fashionistas, no matter what the season or which way the trend winds are blowing, so I hit up my local Target last weekend and picked up a bottle of Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Pat On The Black to get my fix. Picture the darkest point in a glass of Merlot, and you've got your color. Gorgeous! Two coats and you're almost there, but three coats are necessary to achieve bottle color. Not uncommon with such dark shades, and since it goes on smooth, even and dries relatively quickly, it's not a problem. The quality of this line of polishes is really good, too. I'm officially addicted. It doesn't chip easily (that's day 3 up above) and it's not a pain to remove. I don't think this color is new or particularly trendy, just a timeless, chic polish to add to your collection!
