Off the Rack: Dolce Vita for Target

Dolce Vita for Target

If you follow me on Twitter, then you already know that I went to Target earlier today and saw four styles from the new Dolce Vita for Target shoe collection, an incredibly hush-hush collaboration that a few readers tipped me to weeks back but I couldn't find any info about it and no one was sayin' nothing! Oh, Target, you temptress. So I kinda wanted all four pairs: A lace-up black boot (side zipper so you don't have to fuss with the laces), buckle ankle boot, studded ballet flat and black oxford flats, ranging from $29.99 to $34.99. But when I get overwhelmed with desire, I try to step back and assess, "What do I really need?" So I summoned up all my willpower and left empty handed. I have no fear that these shoes will sell out immediately (other shoppers seemed none too impressed) so I will return in a few days with a sound mind and make my purchase(s) then.

Have you shopped the line yet? Which pairs are you eying? Click through to see real-life photos of all the Dolce Vita for Target shoes I've spotted so far!

UPDATE:
I went back and bought the Buckle Ankle Boots and Lace-Up Boots. I've worn both extensively and find them to be very comfortable. They're holding up well.

Chocolate aims to be an eco-friendly, price conscious, fashion forward handbag line, and has been on the market for a little over 2 years. I like that their bags look luxe, but don't cost a fortune.

'Eat Pray Love' Inspired Fashions at Cost Plus World Market

In honor of the upcoming film (opening August 13), Eat Pray Love, starring Julia Roberts, Cost Plus World Market stores nationwide will feature a fashionable line of Eat Pray Love merchandise that "evokes the warm and inspirational themes of the film." The collection includes a block print paisley tunic ($19.99), bucket hat with grosgrain ($19.99), and beaded stretch bracelets ($5.99). I actually just borrowed the book from the library last week, once I read it I'll decide whether or not I want to buy these boho-chic pieces. I love World Market regardless, wish there was one in my area. Click through to see more pics!

Brian Lichtenberg for Forever 21

Forever 21 passed along some more info and one image for its first limited-edition designer collaboration with Los Angeles-based designer Brian Lichtenberg, which I first told you about here. Lichtenberg's unique mix of high fashion and street style, as well as his custom looks for celebrity clientele, has landed his designs in high-fashion magazines, music videos and artist performances all over the world. This much-anticipated collaboration consists of men's and women's graphic tees focused around Lichtenberg's exclusively designed graphics, featuring crystals, dripping prints, cosmetics and a nod to his buzzed about caution tape ensemble for Lady Gaga's "Telephone" video.
