In honor of the upcoming film (opening August 13), Eat Pray Love, starring Julia Roberts, Cost Plus World Market stores nationwide will feature a fashionable line of Eat Pray Love merchandise that "evokes the warm and inspirational themes of the film." The collection includes a block print paisley tunic ($19.99), bucket hat with grosgrain ($19.99), and beaded stretch bracelets ($5.99). I actually just borrowed the book from the library last week, once I read it I'll decide whether or not I want to buy these boho-chic pieces. World Market has cut back on some of the exotic and hard-to-find stuff. You know it's all driven down by people who crunch at the numbers and pretty soon, it'll be reduced down like Pier 1 was, to just selling a few bland items designed to appeal to the lower common denominator...
My parents bought me a white director's chair with pink fabric for my room. When we finally got a Pier 1 in my town, it was just a pale imitation of the old ones.
Groan... I'm missing that mall... They had also an "old" Limited (!!) before they were bought out...
