Kmart Fashion Spring 2011 Lookbook

Kmart Fashion is continuing their forward momentum with the Spring 2011 lookbook, showcasing stylish apparel that you can shop this spring at Kmart stores and online at kmart.com. Trends include military-inspired, animal prints and lace, and Kmart has done a standout job of touching on those trends without going overboard. Nothing's over $34.99, which bodes well for our wallets. I'm loving the army green military jacket, white tweed jacket with raw-edge trim and black cargo skirt. The styling is clean and cool, another plus. Nothing groundbreaking, but it's a step in the right direction and good enough to pique my interest.

Get L.A.M.B.'s Dashing Diva Nail Look from New York Fashion Week

Celebrity nail technician Pattie Yankee and the Dashing Diva nail team worked backstage to create nail looks for models at the Fall 2011 L.A.M.B. show. To create a cohesive nail look for the Soldier Girl, Ragga Muffin Girl, London Girl, Buffalo Girl, Mod Girl and Glamour Girl "gangs" in Gwen Stefani's collection, Pattie used Dashing Diva's Limo Service polish for an edgy take on a neutral polish. The creator of the Love Angel Music Baby line said black is back for polish for Fall/Winter 2011.

I didn't get to cover this in person, but I had the opportunity to cover backstage beauty two seasons ago at L.A.M.B. when CND's Jan Arnold used a deep burgundy color called Dark Ruby to complement the Fall 2010 collection. Gwen loves her dark polishes, and with good reason - they make a big statement and match everything.

Which "neutral" look do you prefer for spring - the peachy nude from Elie Tahari that I posted earlier or L.A.M.B.'s glossy black?

STYLE360's Bebe Fall 2011 Runway Show Finale

For the second season in a row, I had the opportunity to attend the bebeBLACK fashion show presented during New York Fashion Week by STYLE360 at the Metropolitan Pavilion. This is one of my favorite shows because it brings mall-store fashion to life (I mean that in the best way possible) and let's face it, we can actually afford all the looks on the runway! For Fall 2011, the looks were sexy, a little sporty and '80s inspired, in a CMYK palette - blue, pink yellow and black. Take a look at the runway show finale video that I shot (above) - I had a pretty good vantage point so you can really see how the clothes move on the runway. Then check back for more still photos and a review to come!

Rebecca Minkoff Fall 2011 Handbag Collection - Sneak Peek

Designer Rebecca Minkoff presented a selection of handbags from her upcoming Fall 2011 collection at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Fall 2011 Accessories Exhibit in Lincoln Center. It's easy to overlook these exhibits as you're running from one show to the next, but I stopped dead in my tracks when I spotted these beauties - structured, ladylike handbags with luxe hardware and edgy flourishes that make these the perfect "investment" bag for the chic modern girl. My favorites included a camel colored saddle bag, a forest green satchel as well as a lipstick red satchel. Look for these at the end of the summer, early fall.

Rebecca Minkoff Fall 2011 Runway Show Finale

Cool-girl looks reigned on designer Rebecca Minkoff's first runway show while Sean Lennon's band The Ghost Of A Saber Tooth Tiger set the mood with live music. I didn't have the best view for shooting video but I was just happy to be there (as is the case for me at most shows!) Check out the short clip I shot of the finale above, and stay tuned for more photos and a runway review to come.
