Off the Rack: Old Navy's April Colors

Last week I stopped by Old Navy to see what was new for spring. From colorful t-shirts and cardigans to bright flip-flops and scarves, Old Navy is all about happy pops of color and cheerful floral prints. Highlights include inexpensive workout gear, casual shorts and a few seriously cute bathing suits - the selection was very limited at my store, so don't wait too long to check these out. I didn't really see any cute dresses or shoes but hopefully more options will become available as the season goes on. The clearance racks held a few fashionable gems, too, like on-trend boyfriend shirts and the leopard shirt I featured in this post. Have you been to Old Navy lately? Did you like what you saw?

Converse One Star for Target Spring 2011 Lookbook

Another solid brand you'll find at Target season after season is Converse One Star, and their Spring 2011 lookbook has dozens of great casual outfit ideas and styling inspiration. For spring, Converse showcases their sportswear for women in a neutral palette with a few soft florals and plaid prints mixed in. There's denim, breezy tops, shorts, dresses, lightweight sweaters and swimwear, plus accessories like leather-look handbags and of course, footwear. Nothing's over $50 and you can shop this collection in stores now and online at Target.com. My favorite looks include the white blazer/plaid shirt combo, and the purple ruffle top with dolman sleeve cardigan. While I love the look of Converse's classic sneaks, they don't agree with my fussy feet, so I prefer to envision these looks with cool oxfords, ballet flats or sandals.
