Off the Rack: September Jewelry Highlights at Target

Although Target has let me down in the designer-collaboration-arena of late, I've been increasingly impressed with their jewelry department (remember these bracelets?). This month I saw an assortment of delicate gold and silver necklaces, bracelets and earrings with a Zen, modern-minimalist feel (think Me&Ro, Satya or Gorjana) which are perfect for everyday wear. Other pieces, like a hammered gold disc pendant and a rough-hewn gemstone bracelet, feel more bohemian. Still others, like a silver arrowhead pendant, have a more edgy yet understated vibe. Finally, there are chunky chain necklaces and a couple pieces with bold amber beads with a vintage 70s vibe. If you're looking for a gift under $30 or a little something for your fall accessory wardrobe, give Target a peek.

Missonipocalypse: Target's Epic Fail

If you follow my tweets, you may have noticed that I was in New York yesterday for Fashion Week and therefore unable to make it to a Target store for the Missoni launch. I had to catch a 6:30 am train to make it to my 9:00 am backstage appointment at Badgley Mischka. Sorry, but I wasn't about to skip an opportunity that I've worked so hard to get just to shop at Target, Missoni or not.

Off the Rack: September Shoe Highlights at Target

Finally, my Target has boots! I spotted the usual suspects: Tall slouch boots with a low heel that work well with dresses and skirts; black riding boots with elastic side panels that adjust to your calves; flat moto boots to pair with skinny jeans, suede shoeties for dressier occasions and work; the Steve Madden look-a-likes from last season. Actually, a lot of the styles looked like last season's offerings. That's why my favorites included some brown buckle-embellished flat boots (above) and some brown high-heel ankle boots - they offered a little something new. Browse more photos after the jump. Any favorites?

Off the Rack: LPLP Linea Pelle for Target Fall 2011 Handbags

The other day at Target I spotted about eleven new fall styles from the LPLP Linea Pelle handbag collection, and they're actually pretty good-lookin. My favorites included a stud detail cognac satchel, a zip front crossbody purse and both the black and purple versions of the tote with exterior pockets. Prices range from $14.99 to $29.99, and some bags were already marked down a bit. Overall, this is a much better collection than LPLP's disappointing debut spring line, thanks to a richer fall color palette of black, purple, cognac, brown and olive green. See more real-life pics after the jump (sorry for the poor quality, I thought I had forgotten my camera but it was hiding in the side pocket of my purse all along). Are you impressed with LPLP's fall styles?
