Ask BB: Cartier Love Bracelet Look for Less

Do you know of any knock-offs of Cartier's Love bracelet? —Elyssa

If you follow fashion, you've no doubt admired Leandra Medine aka The Man Repeller's gorgeous bracelet bashes which usually include her Cartier Love bracelet (here, here and here). But while the Man Repeller is able to wear a bracelet that costs thousands of dollars (God bless), she's also an advocate of less expensive bling that's just as eye-catching. It's about how you style something and make it your own, not the brand name or the price tag.

Having said that, you can search for screw bracelet on eBay to get a Cartier-inspired bracelet under $50 (although I can't vouch for quality).

Or, you can pick up this bracelet by Michael Kors that combines the Cartier buckle bracelet and love bracelet into one, chic and unique bangle. It's available in silver or gold for $85 at Nordstrom.com.

Nicole Richie to Design for Macy's

Fashion icon, designer and television star Nicole Richie will be the next Macy's Impulse designer. Launching this September, Nicole Richie for Impulse only at Macy's will feature limited-edition apparel inspired by Richie's luxe Bohemian style. Expect to see everything from maxi skirts to fitted jackets in retro prints and jewel tones, priced from approximately $49 – $149. Looks like being a judge on Fashion Star is just as good as being a contestant. I'm kinda looking forward to this as a fan of Nicole Richie's personal style. I like her Winter Kate line but it's a bit pricey so I'm eager to see what she does for Macy's. Do you think Macy's made a good move enlisting Richie's talent?

Target Fall 2012 Preview Event

Target Fall 2012 Preview

This afternoon I attended the Target Fall 2012 press preview held at the Hudson Hotel in New York City. Here are some of the highlights I snapped, showcasing the top trends you can expect to see in Target stores and online at Target.com this fall (which actually starts in late July and August, so you won't have to wait too long). From the Merona line, I saw lots of ladylike looks with a retro vibe (think Mad Men) that included pencil skirts, collared blouses, and shirtdresses. From Mossimo, I spotted colored cords in every shade, chambray shirts, printed denim (leopard, python and floral), colorblocking on tops and frocks, and lots of long knits for layering. Across the board, I was noticing tons of stripes, tiny polka-dots, tasteful leopard print and rich colors like magenta, goldenrod and teal - all very, very good news if you've been loving the direction of fashion right now...which I am, so way to go Target!
