Free People's Intimates Lookbook: About a Girl

Free People Intimately Free Lookbook

"About a Girl," Free People's new lookbook, makes laying around in bed all morning look so much more glamorous than it sounds. Sunlight streaming through the windows, crisp white linens, and of course, beautiful intimates.

But seriously, the Intimately Free People label is full of great layering pieces that can be paired with summer sheers and fall favorites. Delicate bras and feminine slips meet boyshorts and lacey hipsters. Personal favorites include the Meadows of Lace Slip, and the Eyelet Boyshort. The boyshort would be a great addition under any flirty dress, and the slip is sheer beauty. Just imagine yourself wearing its lacey perfection with an oversized cardigan. All while holding a cup of coffee in your hands adorned with too many rings. Can it get any more perfect?

This romantic collection features undergarments that are so beautiful, you may just find yourself wearing these slips as dresses, and the camis as "going out" tops. And let's not kid ourselves, we're totally eating up these dreamy pictures tracing her outline with phrases like, "wanna be my lover," and "I saw you in the faded light." Cheers Free People, we're falling in love all over again.

Free People August Lookbook: Bonsai Boy

A look from Free People's August Lookbook

Is there any season more exciting than fall when it comes to fashion? Cozy cardigans, leather boots, and classic coats have me waving goodbye to Summer by mid-August. And as if we aren’t excited to see Free People’s monthly catalog at any time of the year, August is especially satisfying. It’s like a delicious appetizer to what we can expect in September, the fashion month of all fashion months. Free People’s August lookbook, Bonsai Boy, doesn’t disappoint.

Lauren Conrad for Kohl's Fall 2013 Lookbook

Lauren Conrad for Kohl's Fall 2013 lookbook

Here's a little eye candy for your Friday afternoon: It's the LC Lauren Conrad for Kohl's Fall 2013 lookbook, starring, as always, the lovely Ms. Conrad herself. The lookbook is classic LC, that is, feminine, polished and put-together in a California-casual sort of way. The fashions are what we've come to expect (and love) about Lauren's line: Knit tops with little extras like lace or bow-detailing, essential denim leggings, the must-have boyfriend blazer, and girly day-to-night dresses. On-trend heels round out the collection (I can't wait for her to add handbags; she recently added a home line so I hope handbags are next). Prices range from $40 for a ponte circle skirt to $70 for the boyfriend blazer. Everything's available in sizes xs-xl, 0-16 and will be in stores and online at kohls.com this August - September.

Which photos will you be pinning and why? Which pieces can't you wait to have in your closet?

JCP Fall 2013 Lookbook

A look for JCP Fall 2013

The JCPenney Fall 2013 lookbook is here, showcasing the top women's trends from some of their most popular brands including Liz Claiborne, Bisou Bisou, Cosmopolitan, Worthington, MNG by Mango, jcp, and Levi's. JCP is still working hard to revitalize its brand, and I think they've done a decent job with this fall lookbook to appeal to old customers and hopefully draw in some new ones as well. I'm loving the tuxedo stripe pants, the fox sweater (a season late but still on-trend and totally cute), and pretty much all of the coats. JCPenney is still stuck in a sort of retail limbo between Target and Kohl's so it'll be interesting to see how sales go this fall. Where do you stand with JCP at the moment? Loyal shopper, newcomer, somewhere in between? P.S. The fox sweater is by the jcp label, available for $32 in September.

Joe Fresh for JCP Fall 2013 Lookbook

Joe Fresh for JCP Fall 2013

JCPenney has a lot to prove this fall, so it is with critical eyes that we get to check out the Joe Fresh Fall 2013 lookbook. The Canadian fashion brand, as you may recall, first launched its affordable line at JCP stores in Spring 2013 with mixed reactions from BB readers. How do you feel about it now? I'd happily wear any of these looks myself: From a cheeky pup sweater to updated basics in bright yet wearable hues, I think Joe Fresh has pieces that everyone can incorporate into their wardrobe.
