Free People's October Lookbook: After Dark

Free People October Look Book

After Dark, Free People’s October lookbook, captures model Ashley Smith playing dress up in sexy bohemian outfits with the great New York City as her back drop. Embellishments such as fringe, beading, velvet, and even coins bring these garments to life giving them just the right amount of that quirky Free People touch. The moody and glamorous feel, captured by photographer Guy Aroch, is the perfect inspiration for a girls night out. The brown LA Nite Tank in the fifth picture is just $20, and they’re simply the best. They’re perfect for layering and they don’t ride up on you. The jewel tones are rich and appropriate for Fall, but will lead us nicely into the holiday season. I don’t know about you, but I’m melting over the fringe floral kimono in the first picture, and it’s just as beautiful in person! Now all you need is a great pair of heels and some red lipstick…is it the weekend yet?

Free People's October Catalog: Lost in Tokyo

Free People's October '13 Catalog

Director Sofia Coppola’s Parisian chic style and dreamy films have captivated fashion junkies everywhere, making Free People’s October catalog particularly inspiring. The catalog titled, ‘Lost in Tokyo’ is a direct reference to the film Coppola directed, ‘Lost in Translation’. Photographer Guy Aroch captured model Elsa Hosk in Tokyo, just as Coppola directed Scarlett Johansson there.

Target Fall 2013 Lookbook

Target Fall 2013 Lookbook

This season, Target enlisted the help of Atlantic-Pacific blogger Blair Eadie to style their fall '13 look book. It's been out for a while but I'm just getting around to posting it now, so hopefully you'll still find some inspiration! There are so many fun things for when the weather cools down, from colorful sweaters to cozy jackets and day-to-night dresses. Floral prints, stripes, camo and polka dots are all back as are jewel tones, plaid and houndstooth. I think Blair brings a fresh perspective, layering the looks in a playful and modern way. After my last ho-hum trip to Target, this look book makes me eager to go back and see what I can find! Which looks do you love?
