Win Cool Stuff: Tide Pods Giveaway with Tracy Reese Washable Fashion

Tide Pods giveaway!

For the fall 2014 season, Tracy Reese partnered with Tide Pods to design two completely washable looks (looks 8 & 25 in the show), inspired by the CFDA’s Washable Fashion initiative, which seeks to inspire more designers to create garments using washable fabrics.

When you're on a budget, you definitely need to think in terms of washable fabrics, so kudos to Tracy Reese for designing looks that can go from the runway to your washing machine - and still look fab!

Now, on to our giveaway...

I've teamed up with Tracy Reese and Tide to give away one (1) tub of Tide Pods to 5 lucky Budget Babe readers so you can have your own washable fashion moment at home! Laundry never looked so glamorous.

Off the Rack: Old Navy Goes Nautical for Spring

Old Navy spring 2014 fashions are nautical chic!

Old Navy is ready for spring and they're going full-out nautical, from the prints to the color palette. It's all about red, white and navy, with a healthy dose of stripes, anchors, sail boats and rope prints. Word play on tops is still going strong, with phrases like "Ahoy" rendered in sequins on a tan sweater or "Take me to the sea" decorating a gray pullover. Light layers abound, so you can pull out (or replenish) such basics as chambray shirts and denim jackets and pair them with the new Pixie ankle pants or ponte knit skirts.

The Look for Less: Kate Spade 'Charles Street' Satchel

The Kate Spade New York 'Charles Street' Audrey stripe satchel is $348 at NORDSTROM.COM. The stripes are classic Kate Spade! It's bold and graphic, yet the black and white print will go with just about everything (and isn't that justification enough?!)

For a similar look that won't break the bank, try this Merona striped satchel instead, just $32.99 at TARGET.COM. I saw this bag in store and it really popped on the shelf and looked awesome for the price!

Off the Rack: Kmart Random Goodness

Kmart fashions in store now

I don't often get around to shopping at Kmart since I live a good 35 minutes drive from the nearest location, but I happened to pop in this past weekend to check things out. My first thought was that I'm not missing much - the Nicki Minaj collection, with its bodycon silhouettes and wild prints, isn't exactly my style. But then I spotted some stylish options from Attention, Route 66 and Sofia Vergara that made me reconsider. This geometric print blouse by Attention was positively darling and looked more expensive than it's $14.99 pricetag. A swallow print blouse by Jaclyn Smith ($17.99) looked like a budget descendant from Miu Miu's spring 2010 runway. And two casual pullovers with crochet detailing from Route 66 were just as cute as similar tops that run twice as much elsewhere (scroll down for pics). It's not enough to make me drive out to Kmart but I will be checking Kmart.com more often.

Do any of you shop regularly at Kmart or Kmart.com for clothes?
