The Look for Less: Express Plaid Sequin Back Shirt

Express plaid sequin back shirt as seen on McKenna Bleu
If you missed out on the Express plaid sequin back shirt that everyone was wearing last fall (most notably on fashion blogger McKenna Bleu - see how she styled her shirt HERE), then you're in luck because now you can get the look for less at JCPenney. The sequin back shirt I found is by Arizona and comes in four colors for just $24.99! Do no be confused by my collage (above): The front and back of the shirt is the same color, they just don't show the sequins on all colors in the product details on jcp.com. (Did that make any sense?!) Any at rate, this plaid shirt makes a lot of sense for the stylish girl who wants to stand out from the plaid crowd, and the shining sequin detail on the back does just that. Scoop up your sequin back shirt HERE.

Camo Cool: Taraji P. Henson's Print Leggings and Slip-On Sneakers Look for Less

Taraji P. Henson's camo leggings and cap sleeve tank look for less
In case you haven't noticed, I'm really feeling camo this fall (see for example this post), and apparently, so is Taraji P. Henson, who rocked this print on a pair of leggings before appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live. The 'Empire' star kept things simple yet undeniably cool with a black cap-sleeve top, slip-on sneaks and oversized leather tote, and while I'm guessing her pieces are all designer, we were able to easily recreate this casual look on a budget. It's a fall outfit you can wear now if it's still warm (ahem, California) or later with layers...denim jacket, leather moto jacket, boyfriend blazer, or chunky sweater, to name a few options. Read on to get the look for less - nothing's over $35!

Downtown Cool: Dakota Fanning's Denim Shorts and Fishnets Look for Less

Dakota Fanning's denim shorts, blazer and fishnets outfit idea
If you want a lesson in how cool girls winterize their summer wardrobes, look no further than Dakota Fanning. Bringing the right attitude to the table to rock this look, however, rests entirely on your shoulders. Read on for the look for less, with pieces starting under $10...

The Look for Less: Mock Layer Sweater

The Look for Less: Mock Layer Sweater
Okay, I'm just going to give this one to you guys, no guessing necessary! Have you noticed the mock layer sweater trend this season? Designers are taking the guesswork out of layering by creating tops that look layered, but are really just fooling the eye. I love taking shortcuts in fashion (truly committed over here) so I love the idea of a two-in-one piece. You get the cool layered look without the bulk or bunching! It's a no brainer. I'm sold on the mock layer sweater and love the two options above. Simple yet chic and you can dress them up or down with different accessories. Are you a fan or would you rather do your own layering?
