In this earlier post, many of you were none too impressed with the Fair Isle sweater look, but you were definitely drooling over Hilary Duff's red-soled boots, namely, her Christian Louboutin Babel boots, $1,465 at Net-a-Porter.com.

Ok. I'm not saying Old Navy even comes close to Louboutin in terms of fabulosity, but these stylish black boots are a reasonable alternative, are they not? They're available in camel or black and cost $50 at OldNavy.com.

And if you're willing to spend a bit more to get this look, here are some more options:

I love the Jessica Simpson ones in the Shopstyle list. I'm always willing to pay a little more for boots (not $1,465, though!) if I know they'll last a few seasons.

i know that old navy will probably put them on sale, but i can't imagine spending $50 at old navy for boots and i'm never cheap when it comes to shoes lol. i'd rather order a pair off endless, like madden girl or something instead and even have to add a little bit. $50 at old navy bothers me for some reason ;-)

I feel like the chunky angular heel of most of your options does not capture the spirit at all of the stilletto-heeled louboutins. It's not that I don't like the old navy ones, they just have a completely different silhouette.

Thanks for posting these. Although, I have never purchased Old Navy shoes before, these are kind of nice. They are more similiar to the Dolce Vita Wendall boots that go for about $129 at Nordstrom.

I'd give them a try but I have to see them in person.
