Off the Rack: Spring Dresses and More at Target

No fuss fabric, chic stripes and a gorgeous blue hue make this a great buy for spring.

Before I get to my Liberty of London review, I just wanted to share a few photos of some standout spring pieces from Target's non-designer lines like Merona and Liz Lange. I've seen a lot of adorable dresses that meet all my criteria: No-fuss fabric, compatible with a regular bra, and hemlines at or above the knee so you can wear them in professional settings or to family gatherings. I must sound dreadfully practical but fashion you can wear in your real life is much more exciting to me than a dress that just collects dust in your closet. Keep reading for more highlights and check your local store for so much more that I wasn't able to photograph!

Highly saturated colors and unique ruffle detailing gives these tops a designer look.

A sexy criss-cross back and cinched waist makes this the perfect party dress.

Zipper embellishments give this tunic by Liz Lange Maternity an edgy feel.

Here's a detail shot of the tank.

A chic neckline and fun print give this ladylike number retro appeal.

Reach for a green trench to brighten up dreary days.

A great color and interesting detail on the neckline makes this top look pricey.

This fully-lined sheath with matching jacket gives off a ladies-who-lunch vibe.

Artful embellishments on this cardigan make it stand out.

Not everything was a hit. I wanted to like this white blazer but it looked ragged on the rack.

This blazer might have been more successful in a different fabric.

I actually bought the white blazer and am wearing it today. It was a little wrinkled on the rack, but after dry cleaning looks very nice and crisp. Looks great with just about everything.

I was just there like a week ago and didn't see any of this stuff. Either your Target has a much better selection or I need to go back NOW! :-) Thanks for posting the pix. I love seeing the new stuff.

I'm still not over how impressed I was with Merona! I nabbed the embellished green and white cardigan, happy to report it washed well. Also got a nice pencil skirt in a jean type material with flat pockets, since my office is pretty casual.
