The Zac Posen for Target collection went on sale late last night, and by this morning, a few of the items were already sold out! I try not to get caught up in the shopping frenzy, but honestly, who am I kidding?! Target knows how to get a girl excited and I am powerless to resist. So what did I buy? Well, this morning I didn't actually get anything because the item I wanted most—namely, the tuxedo blazer—was not yet available online. But when I returned to my computer this evening, the tuxedo blazer was up—YAY!—so I bought that for $49.99, as well as the black ruched skirt ($34.99), and the tie-dye tank dress ($29.99). Not what I'd consider the "standout" pieces by any stretch, but I went for items that I felt I would actually wear —pieces that would work with my figure, my style and my budget. I hope they fit, and if not, I can always return them! So. What did YOU buy?

I tried the snap-tape dress but ultimately didn't buy it. It's well made (much better than some of Target's previous designer collections) and has a flattering fit. I just couldn't picture myself actually wearing it anywhere.
The brocade dress was pretty awful. Again, well made, but it made me look like a big cupcake!
I didn't like any of the dresses or the swimsuits. The cardigans were bleh, I liked Rodarte's cardigans better.
Wasn't all too impressed, but much better than I've expected

I am REALLY hoping to get my hands on one of the brocade dresses. So, if anyone spots a size 3 or 5 in it, and wants to swap for a size 7 Cynthia Vincent cognac gladiator wedges I have in my possession right now, let me know.
To that end, I did purchase (only one piece) the tuxedo jacket. It runs a tiny bit small. The quality is actually pretty decent but I think I will be returning after all. I am amply endowed in the bust with a small bottom. I htink tuxedo jackets with just one button under the bust is most flattering as it makes the waist appear more tucked in as well.
The ZP tuxedo jacket has 3 buttons that begin under the bust. The jacket looks awkward when closed if all 3 buttons aren't done. I didnt think that the closed jacket was as flattering as it could be.
I was eyeing up the safety pin top, but here we go again with all of the polyester! Remember Target, breathable fabrics!
Valerie: I'm planning on wearing mine with leggings too, it will probably be a mini on me!
