Leggings work great with long tunics, but it's not a lasting trend, sad to say. Currently, Wal Mart has $8 leggings, JoAnn fabrics has $3 fusible web, and everyone's got a pair of scissors...by the time there's any kind of wear going on, the slashed fashion will already be "worn". Just an opinion...I've seen the same item [and made my own] the first time around...

You're right, slashed leggings are a cheap and easy DIY project -- lots of how-to's online as well for those interested!
