STYLE360's Bebe Spring 2011 Runway Show

For Spring 2011, bebe toned down its edgy sex kitten vibe - much to my pleasant surprise - and presented a softer, modern bohemian collection inspired by the Mediterranean and fashion icon Brigitte Bardot. My photos don't really do these clothes justice because I must say, I thought almost everything looked gorgeous on the runway. Like I said, pleasant surprise! The bebe models were glamorous beauties with hair styled into long, tousled curls and sultry, natural-looking makeup. The mostly neutral color palette of tans, ivory, blush pinks and powder blues was complemented by rich golds, bronzes, a few delicate florals and some chic black pieces to add just a little edge. Lace, crochet and embroidered details added to the boho feel without dipping into hippy territory. Accessories included sky-high platform stilettos, suede foldover booties and fringe bags.

My favorite looks included a black halter vest paired with leather laser cut shorts and an ivory cotton trench with an adorable scalloped hemline and an azalea watercolor print silk and lace dress topped with a black lace jacket and oversized gold pendant necklace that looked plucked from an ancient Cretan tomb. Rompers and jumpsuits will be back; they looked amazing on the models but I'm so on the fence with that trend. This collection was just what I needed to see to get me back into a bebe store come spring after a rather long personal hiatus from shopping there.

See my video of the finale here. Keep reading to see more photos I snapped during the show!

Great spotlight on Bebe's shift in style. One that I am personally greatly looking forward to. Bebe has always been a place to shop at when I have the purpose to buy something found at Bebe but I would never shop there if it wasn't for a specific reason.
Their spring collection has changed my mind about that. Thanks for the post. Hope you had fun at Fashion Week!

thank goodness; the past few seasons have mostly featured the sort of clothes I'd imagine someone wearing to a 'key party' or 'mating rampage at the club'. I'm sure all of us have some kind of spandex atrocity in the closet but I don't really want a whole wardrobe composed of 25" length 'dresses' and 5" heels.(Although it looks as though the 3" platform heels trend has yet to die sigh I think most of those look way too hooflike). Not to mention the price doesn't correspond with the appearance at all. This collection looks more engimatic/cute sexy as opposed to blatant pheromone signal sex. Bebe, I hope this is your return to fabulous clothes at a reasonable price!

gorgeous! i am in love with the drapey, lacey, bohemian feel of the dresses. i always love bebe for their sexy, feminine style but rarely purchase anything because, most of the time, i feel the clothes just fit my wildest, go-all-out nights. And those only happen once in a blue.
beautiful stuff and all really wearable.
Thanks for this!

Just gorgeous-- different for Bebe but still retains that sexy, edgy, flashy vibe they have. I absolutely adore the first, second, third and second to last outfits best. Also love the denim vest with the white ruffled dress and the drapey, long floral, hippie dresses, the bags with tassles. Oh and do I love the hair! I'm impressed and a little surprised!

Oh and the towering heels aren't bad either... Especially paired with the long dresses... Sighh.
