Earlier this week I checked out the latest offerings at New York & Company, a store I often overlook but it's a budget babe's "secret weapon" if you know what to look for (and what to avoid!).
This trip turned up lots of great outerwear options, like a tiered-hem wool trench ($149.95) inspired by Burberry and a luxe-looking faux shearling aviator jacket ($129.95 in-store, sold out online). Best part: All outerwear's on sale buy one, get one half off!
Other highlights included all-over sequin skirts, tanks and cardigans, veeeery popular right now for the holiday party season. New York & Company's options looked relatively luxe and carried a far lower pricetag than what you'd pay elsewhere. I was also loving the infinity or loop scarves and faux-fur muffs. Low-points for me personally had to be the handbags which look cheap for the most part. This area needs improvement.

I'm not sure how warm this coat would be but it definitely looked good. I'm wearing a size XS.
This is the coat with the tiered ruffle bottom, Express has a version of this coat too. It's inspired by Burberry. Love it, especially in this green color. I tried on a size S to accommodate chunky sweaters and it fit nicely.

But, I definitely won't be heading to NY&C for anything. I've been victim to HORRIBLE customer service at both the locations near me and the managers did nothing to assuage the situation. So, they won't be seeing me. And now I will go lust over your H&M post again!
My sisters have also had bad experiences there, which is a shame, bc they both have found nice things there.. I really stay away from there now.
I, too, am often disappointed with NYCo's quality. Their pants are always too short for me too, and I'm only 5'6''.
