People StyleWatch has a fun feature in their magazine where they ask readers to ponder whether they'd rather splurge on one designer item or save on multiple budget-friendly items, so I decided to do my own version of this little fashion game!

I would definitely get the Kate Spade item. Every single piece of jewelry I have ever bought from F21 turns my skin green and the metal they use smells horribly. That being said, they do put out some good-looking pieces at great prices. But, I've been burned by the low quality of the materials too many times to risk buying jewelry from them again. :-(

I'm embarrassed to say it :-| but I would have to say the Kate Spade. I agree with Jilly . I only buy a few pieces but I would like them to last a little while.

This is a toughie! I think I'd have to go for the more is more option since I haven't had any problems (yet) with F21 products and all the pieces here are so pretty!

Can I offer a third option? I think I'd rather buy two or three bracelets from J. Crew. They have great sparkly pieces for the holidays, it'd be about the same price as the one Kate Spade bracelet, and the quality is great! (I've had nothing but problems with F21 jewelry, too.)

Actually I do love this suggestion, I got a gorgeous rhinestone stretchy bracelet at J. Crew a couple months ago to wear to a wedding and it was only $19 on sale! Still shiny and all stones are intact.

It has to be Kate Spade. Why spend $94 on JUNK from Forever 21, with all the stones FALLING OUT after you wear it once and the "metal" tarnishing?
