Simply Vera Vera Wang Spring 2011 Lookbook

Here's a first look at the Simply Vera Vera Wang Spring 2011 collection, featuring clothing, shoes and accessories ranging from $24 for a printed tank to $109 for a patent tote bag, which is just starting to show up at kohls.com and Kohl's stores. Ah, spring! "Bold patterns mix with neutral tones, creating a striking visual contrast. Bright florals and embellishments pair with classic silhouettes for an effortlessly chic look," read the collection notes. I'm loving the pops of honeysuckle pink, the lightweight layering and, most of all, the shoes! Standout pieces for me include the "Zeus" lace-up peep toe wedges ($79.99) and the blue asymmetrical ruffle dress ($58). It's all classic Simply Vera Vera Wang, smart pieces you can mix and match for work and the weekend.

I'm loving the navy ruffle dress. I always find that they style these clothes so cute, but when you go in to try them on, not so cute... They run so big.

I find most SV items look hideous on the rack but they sure can style them! The lookbook looks great!

I love, love, love the SV shoes!

hmm, some of these are giving me a 90s feel. the flower prints and some of the washes and cuts of the jeans. but the gray colored pieces are nice.

@Chrissy, I too have never found SV to be more than slightly hideous on the rack. That said, these photos would have me looking twice. Really cute casual wear, and I love the jackets. I hope they do more than a couple of t-shirts in petite.

I am loving the cargoes! I agree though, as a petite I can't wear Vera's stuff.

Agree, VS stuff runs huge. I have never seen any of it in the petites department at my Kohl's. Actually, I haven't seen anything anyone under the age of 65 would wear in the petites department at my Kohl's. The shoes and handbags look like they have potential though.

I do love this lookbook... kinda just browsed through this post-- this is off-hand but couldn't they have used a few different models? I felt like I just watched a montage of a beautiful model who would never been seen near Kohl's, playing dress-up...

All adorable looks, but the purple dress/cardigan is my fave!

I'm loving the cooler color palette for spring. I can never wear pastels normally associated with spring, so this will be a welcome change!

Hmmm, this looks better here than some of her previous collections have looked to me. I would consider this trying some of these. I too loved the navy ruffle dress.

I love these looks! Love how she incorporated so much gray and black (my staples) with color and florals.

Thanks for posting these BB, I love the first and last floral dress, the mauve top with the extra ribbon and necklaces and I love all the bags!

BB - in response to your adoration of the Zeus wedges, I just got a pair from my local Kohl's and they are TDF. They zip up the back for entry with a cute Simply Vera pull and are comfortable to boot(ie) - pun intended :-)

I've never found the Simply Vera clothing very appealing, but absolutely adore the shoes and bags. I mean the shoes are excellent quality and beautiful styles. I've been wearing the same pumps for a few years now probably since the collection came out, and they look and feel brand new. A few of the pieces look good here, not crazy about the floral though.

I have been pleasantly surprised by alot of SV items. I do agree with the others that almost anything in her line looks huge and fugly on the racks, but I am a small girl by any means (5'2" and 115 pounds) and I have purchased a ton of stuff from this line with great effects. They are easy to style and always have unique details that are not too gaudy or trendy.

So next time you are at Kohl's, don't just dismiss something you sort of like because it looks too big. Try them on! The S fits ME just fine :-) And almost 80% of the times, they look way better on me than they ever did on the racks.
