Christian Siriano Creates Limited-Edition Collection for Spiegel

Christian Siriano Creates Limited-Edition Collection for Spiegel

Our favorite Project Runway alumn Christian Siriano has teamed up with Spiegel to create a collection of twelve pieces, from an origami cocktail dress to an haute-couture-inspired suit. Prices range from $49 for a bias drape blouse to $449 for a chiffon flounce dress (shown above with the designer). As Nina Garcia might say, I question the taste level of some of these pieces but the chiffon flounce dress is definitely a showstopping LBD and my favorite piece from the collection. Coming April 2011, pre-order styles from this limited edition collection now at

Love the second to last image of the sheath dress (as well as a lot of the others). Who would have though Spiegel would make such a game-upping move?

I die for the for fourth dress! And I'm also a fan of leopard so, the skirt with teal top is cute too (or is that an "all in one" dress??)

However, from my prior experience with Spiegel, I question whether the sizing will be off. As their stuff never seems to fit right. I've returned every single piece I've ever ordered from there...

I haven't ordered clothing from Spiegel (yet) . . . but just speaking of online clothing orders in general, I wish that all companies would require reviewers to state what size they ordered. It might be a wholly different thing when a smaller size is too big or too small, versus a larger size being too big or too small. I speak from both sides of the spectrum, having been both a morbidly obese petite and also size 4-6 petite in recent years. Sizing can make a difference from company to company, and size to size. Now, I'm gonna dash on over to to check out Christian's line! Love. him.

I actually think this is one of the best collabs I've seen in a while. It stays true to his style. The first long gown is gorgeous. The animal print skirt is cute, the second long gown is beautiful, and the black zipper skirt w jacket is great too......Overall I think it's good. Some pieces I could do without, but he is so talented. Project Runway got lucky to find him. He would have made it big regardless!!
