To help get the word out on their new spring offerings, Banana Republic recently gifted me with a silk dress from their spring line. I wore it out the very first chance I got, which was this past Friday evening when the weather actually climbed into the 50s!
While it's not something I would have picked out for myself because of the empire waist, it's surprisingly flattering and fits like a glove (size 4). I love the unusual hemline - short in front, longer in back - and the muted olive color. As much as I love brights on the rack, I feel more at home in neutrals and black. I tried styling it a couple different ways and found it to be a real wardrobe chameleon, equally chic dressed up or down. Can't wait to wear this dress with sandals when summer arrives.
