MNG by MANGO Mission: London Lady

Earlier this month, I announced that I had accepted an MNG by MANGO mission to create 5 looks inspired by European cities, culminating in a trip to Barcelona, Spain. My first mission? To create a look inspired by London and British style icons:

Can you guess who I chose as my muse? A sophisticated MNG by MANGO navy dress, classic pearls and wedge pumps should act as clues… that my inspiration was the lovely Kate Middleton.

I finished my look with soft curls (Kate's signature hair-do) and an MNG by MANGO cocktail ring, a nod to Kate's stunning sapphire engagement ring.

Now, I want to see your London-inspired looks. Are you more of a Kate Moss, an Alexa Chung or a Sienna Miller? I'd love to see what you come up with, so leave me a comment with a link to your look if you decide to post it on your blog/Tumblr/Facebook page etc.

Also, be sure to enter to win a trip to join myself and 9 other bloggers in Barcelona to visit the MNG by MANGO studios! Enter now on ELLE.com.

You can find the latest fall styles from MNG by MANGO, sold exclusively at jcpenney stores and online at jcpenney/MNG.

I am kind of in love with this dress. Can you post a link to it? (I tried going through the JCP website and can't find it...)

I too am interested in a link to the dress and trench! Great look! Very sophisticated! Also, what color polish is that you are wearing? Keep it up! Love your blog!

TY! the trench is c/o Banana Republic "Mad Men" collection, leopard is big this fall so i'll keep looking for more animal-print trench options to share.

Thanks for all the sweet comments :-) :) of course, I can't find the dress on the jcpenney.com but I'll keep checking!! The nail polish color is Stormy Weather c/o Deborah Lippmann, new for fall. Available at deborahlippmann.com. A good dupe is Zoya Kelly (it's a little more purple but another fab dark gray) :-)

You look so elegant; love everything about the outfit! What brand bag are you carrying?
#10 Erin A on 2011-09-20 13:11 (Reply)
Thank you so much. My bag is the Gryson "Lola" which I bought back in '09.

Is the Lola very heavy?

Love the dress. Will check for it on the jcp site.

Are you wearing the dress backwards? Just wondering, cause I love the neckline on you, but on the site it looks like it is more of a scoopneck?
#11 aimee on 2011-09-20 18:49 (Reply)
I actually couldn't find my dress on the jcp website, I don't know when it will be available - sorry for the confusion! my dress has a straight-across neckline in the front and back :-)
