The Look for Less: Miu Miu Glitter Flutter Booties

This find comes to us from readers Brit and Tess of Belle Époque - be sure to check out their fab blog if you haven't already!

Miu Miu's open-toe glitter ankle boots are $890 at Nordstrom, and come in yellow/silver or black/silver.

Charlotte Russe has the look for less with their pleated velvet glitter bootie, available in blush/silver or black/silver for $42.50. Click either image to shop.

Ok, confession time: I'd wear the Charlotte Russes around my town but not in NYC or somewhere where they'd be recognized, they're such an obvious knockoff that I'd be embarrassed. But that's just me. Would you wear these?

I'm with you, I think they're a great buy but would be embarrassed to be called out on them. They do look fun! I might wear them back in my hometown, maybe.

ohhh I totally agree. I would wear the knock-offs around my college campus out, but in NO WAY would I ever wear these to an internship in NYC. (fingers crossed I am applying this year...eeeeeee!)

No one around here (or at least in my circle) would recognize them as knock offs. My problem with them is that they no long fit my previously no-kids lifestyle. I'm all about the practical now that I have 6 month old twins. Le Sigh!

It really is so incredibly close to the Miu Miu, that I'd probably be embarrassed to wear it too. But, if you would of just showed me the CR shoe, without the Miu Miu, I would of loved it and not thought twice about it....

Why would you be embarrassed to wear knock-offs??

I would think the people who paid $800 for something they can get for $42.50 are the ones who should be embarrassed.

Like, these shoes are not Van Goghs, ferheavensake. They're just glittery one-season shoes.

That's a very good question, I'm not saying I should be, but I would be...

Come to think of it, I'd be embarrassed to wear the real Miu Mius! I wouldn't want people to know/think I paid $900 on a pair of shoes...probably just the way I was raised. Clearly, I have issues! :-)

I just looked, and they're on special for $30 right now.

I love the shoes in theory, but I'm not sure I would wear them at all. That's a lot of bling on my feet!

I'm from South Africa, so people wouldn't even really recognise them as MiuMiu - haha, so I'd definitely wear it around town. And even if I was in NY, I'd still wear them! You (the fashionista that you are ;-)) only mentioned that they come in yellow/silver and black/silver, but they also come in green/silver - so people might think that this nude/silver is a new colour? And they not signature knock off's so who the heck cares?! So true - it's way more embarrassing to wear USD900 shoes than USD30 "knockoffs".

I just saw this version. A little more expensive, but more color options
