The Look for Less: Proenza Schouler PS1 Multicolored Satchel

Proenza Schouler's PS1 messenger satchel continues to be one of the most coveted It-bags among fashion lovers. Last season it was redesigned with a cool hand-embroidered geometric/tribal print. It retailed for $1,825.

DSW carries this Audrey Brooke messenger bag which to me is a great inspired-by bag, the print and shape maintains the spirit of the PS1 without feeling like a knockoff. Carry it with pride for $99.94.

For fall 2011, the PS1 has been reinvented with another unique print, this multicolored jacquard and black leather bag is $2,290 at

Capture the essence of this season's PS1 with the spicy-hued version of the Audrey Brooke bag shown above, also $99.94 at*. I don't own an Audrey Brooke bag but I've seen them in person and they look really impressive for the price.

Would you happen to know of similar Proenza Schouler inspired-by bags in genuine leather that are not multi-color? Everything I try to find is either faux or pleather and/or close to the original PS price range. Thanks!

DSW also carries Audrey Brooke bag in an all leather version. When I was at DSW this week, the brown, beige, and green all leather satchels were $99 with an additional 40% off. :-)
