Off the Rack: January Highlights at Old Navy

Spring has sprung at Old Navy, with new knits in a bevy of bright colors, lightweight sundresses, sandals and yes, even shorts. I'm so not ready for this (and I won't be able to wear these pieces for another 3 months at least). But if you're planning a winter getaway or you live somewhere warm, you're in for a treat. I was getting a Diane von Furstenberg vibe with a lot of the new printed pieces, from tribal to artsy florals. A geometric print faux-wrap dress stood out. Also loving the brightly colored neon-neutral flats and mini crossbody bags, great for everyday. Colorblocking is another returning trend, which looked chic on leather-look tote bags. And if you aren't in the mood for spring clothes just yet, there's colored denim and chunky sweaters still in stock, even some winter coats left on clearance. What catches your eye?

So glad you posted this. Definitely interested in trying out an Old Navy wrap dress before I spring for a DVF one! Cute bags too!

There is so much stuff I want to buy from Old Navy but I like to wait till they have everything on sale because they always eventually do. Love your website and I always grab inspiration from your posts.

Thanks :-)

Old Navy has been a bit of a hit or miss for me lately. I think their shoes are super cute but sometimes not comfy at all. I do love their bags.

The past few times I've been in Old Navy, I've had to resist buying a TON of stuff. My favorites are the animal print tops, the color blocked bags and the printed tees. The only reason I haven't purchased anything is the prices. For the quality, most of their stuff is a little too expensive for me. Fingers crossed for a sale!

I saw the butterfly dress on oldnavy.com and really liked the print but noticed it was rayon instead of cotton, and now I see that it's a bit wrinkly and might need regular ironing. (I can't stand ironing too often). Maybe if the price is right, I'll be tempted!

Thanks for the photos. Old Navy has really been impressing me lately. I bought animal print and a blue polka dot sweater on my last visit.

I'm impressed! The aztec sweaters are super cute as well as the printed tops. But I won't be buying, because I know I'll see at least 10 other girls walking around campus with it on. I prefer to shop at Macys nowadays.

I work at ON and just a heads up for those waiting for sales, markdowns are always done on Sunday mornings and new sales for the week are usually (not always) up on Friday. And btw I don't recommend buying that blouse with the birds on it...they look like turkey legs from far away.

Ironic that you posted this today; I have on the denim tie-belt dress that I got from Old Navy last weekend! I had not shopped there in YEARS but decided to give them another try since a lot of the fashion bloggers wear pieces from there. For $74, I got 3 dresses, 1 pair of pants and 5 tops!
