Tutorial: My Milly Inspired Mani

The bright colors and bold contrasts on the Milly Fall 2012 runway were just calling out to me, so I created this manicure inspired by one of my favorite looks. Keep reading for the step by step tutorial if you want to give this chic & easy nail art design a try.

The colors you'll need are taupe, hot pink, yellow or gold and black. I used Essie "Jazz", Zoya "Ali", Wet 'n Wild "The Wonder Yellows" and Nicka K's nail art striper in black. You could also use a small paint brush dipped in black polish.

Start with two to three coats of taupe for your base.

Next, add two dollops of pink near the cuticle of each nail to create a pink "collar."

Paint your tips a golden yellow.

Carefully outline your design with your black brush, starting with the "collar", then creating a vertical line from the collar down to the gold tip, and finishing with a horizontal line across each nail.

Once your design is completely dry, finish with two coats of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat to protect your manicure and add beautiful shine (I forgot to do this for my tutorial but it adds a really nice finishing touch and makes your manicure last for days!).

That's it, hope you've enjoyed!
