I have to confess, I was hesitant at first to try such a "loud" shoe but once I slipped them on, I couldn't help but smile every time I looked at my feet. And incorporating them into my wardrobe was surprisingly simple - they add a little rainbow to everyday outfits. I could see these working for casual work days or the weekends. My flats fit true to size, featured a nice traction sole and were super comfy on account of the soft fabric, roomy toe area and slip-on styling. It's tough to find comfortable flats, and these were pleasant in every way.

If you, like me, need some more ideas on how to style bright footwear, here are some tips I put together:

• Pair a stand-out shoe with ankle crop jeans to show it off (and make your ankles appear slimmer)
  


• Go bold by pairing a bright shoe with this season's pastel or neon denim and a neutral top
  


• Don't be afraid to mix prints - a floral t-strap sandal with a striped maxi dress will look fresh and unexpected
  


• Let your shoes pop: If you catch yourself wearing head-to-toe black or subdued neutrals, an eye-catching shoe is a great way to inject color into your look.
  


• Matching is okay! While I don't usually love outfits that are too matchy-matchy, it's perfectly acceptable to match a scarf, statement necklace, or handbag to one of the colors in your shoes.
  


• Experiment and have fun with it: Some of my best outfits come together in ways I least expected. Try different combinations and see what crops up!
