Off the Rack: LC Lauren Conrad for Kohl's July Highlights

Here are some photos I snapped of the LC Lauren Conrad for Kohl's collection during a recent Kohl's trip, which some of you may have followed on Twitter and Instagram. (It's like we're shopping together!) On this visit, I saw dozens of summer dresses in charming prints like vintage bicycles, pink flamingos, palm trees, colorful stripes and pretty florals. Many of these dresses could be dressed up with heels and a white blazer or dressed down with flat sandals and a denim jacket - love that. Other highlights included denim cut-offs in mint green, white, coral or peach and casual cotton skirts.

So what did I buy? I scooped up some green crop jeans on sale for $45 (down from $60) from the LC line, 'So' neon yellow skinny jeans for $15, ELLE colorblock flat sandals for $22.99 and Sonoma life+ style striped espadrille sandals for $20.99, PLUS everything was marked down an additional 30% at the register and I earned some Kohl's cash good thru July 15. All in all, it was a productive shopping trip!

See more photos including the items I picked up after the jump. Have you been to Kohl's lately? What did you buy?

Great finds! Last time I was there, everything I wanted was gone in my size :-( Love those striped espadrilles - super cute!!

@PPF The espadrilles are awesome. I had sworn off that style long ago, too hard to tie, but I'm glad I gave the style another shot - these are so comfy and cute!

love what you picked up. i don't know what it is about the LC line, but i'm always disappointed with the fit or material of the fabrics {too thin} in person. i get the lookbooks, rush out to kohls and it never fails that the fit isn't quite right. always something a "little off". i shall try and try again though because i love her style.

Agreed Jennifer, especially the material of the fabrics. I tried the blue dress on from picture #6 (the sheer top with corset look) and I looked like my chest was hanging down to my stomach! Also, wish she made some things where we could actually wear a bra.

@Jennifer You're not alone, I figured it was just me but I can't wear half the dresses either. None of the maxi dresses looked right on me this trip.

@Erika I won't even try on spaghetti strap dresses, can't be bothered! Last trip, however, I found a perfect hi-lo hem style dress with thick straps so you could wear a regular bra.

I wouldn't say it's hit or miss but the cuts are not always flattering. The shirts are often too sheer, I don't want to have to wear a camisole under every top! :-)

I haven't tried LC's clothes yet, but the last time I went to Kohl's I got a hot Rock and Republic jacket for $27.00!

I love the LC line of clothes, but I agree that the number of spaghetti strap dresses (and tops) can detract from its wear-ability. These styles are too showy for me and strapless bras are not comfy for every day.

I bought a really cute 3/4 sleeve chiffon butterfly dress from her spring line, as well as two pleated front short sleeve shirts in polka dot and floral (http://www.kohls.com/kohlsStore/crosssells/womens/prints/dots/PRD~1101629/LC+Lauren+Conrad+PolkaDot+Pleated+Top.jsp) that do not require layering.

I was also impressed with her green and yellow cropped skinny jeans (worn by BB in a recent post) but had to size up because they ran a bit small in the waist.

Well rats, I had kind of sworn Kohl's off for a while but those shoes are both worth stopping in for.

Much like a couple of the other commenters, I always love the LC stuff until I try it on. It always looks so much better on the rack. But those orange (or red? not sure how accurate my monitor is) shorts are pretty great.

I like the first LC dress. I will have to head to Kohl's to see if they still have it.

I saw a really cute pleated skirt on the weekend in the LC collection. I might go back and see how it fits!

Love the ELLE colorblock sandals. I have them in solid brown and also solid white and may return for the colorblock version too. The adjustable straps make them good for wide feet and I snagged them for $16.80 each during the last 30% off coupon sale.

I agree that the LC clothing is styled nicely and appears chic in the lookbook, but there's often something off when you see or try them on in person. Either the fabric is noticeably cheap or the fit is awkward.
