Godiva Celebrates Inspirational Women with the Lady GODIVA Program

Renowned chocolate company GODIVA Chocolatier has launched a new charitable initiative, the Lady GODIVA Program, to celebrate women who embody the attributes of the legendary Lady Godiva through selflessness, generosity, leadership and the spirit of giving back to the community.

Aimed at supporting inspirational women at both a national and local level, the Lady GODIVA Program named FEED co-founder Lauren Bush Lauren as their first National Honoree. FEED has provided over 60 million school meals to children living in 62 countries around the world in partnership with the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) school feeding program.

On a local level, the Lady GODIVA Program launched an online community where everyone can nominate inspiring women in their communities to take part in regional nomination contests. Regional Honorees will receive $1,000 to continue her good works. Plus, an overall Annual Local Lady GODIVA Honoree will be chosen from the regional women at the end of the year and receive an additional $10,000 grant toward their cause.

From a nominee who helps girls go to high-school, to a woman whose mission is to feed the hungry, these 9 semi-finalists are making a difference in their community every day.

Get to know the Lady GODIVA Program nominees and vote for your favorite!

Plus, check out the latest GODIVA products that support FEED. A limited supply of the FEED 10 bags are still available, providing 10 school meals to children in cocoa-producing regions of Africa for each bag sold. And stay tuned for additional GODIVA + FEED products coming soon.
